  1. I expect the Kings to lose game 6 clean by a margin of at least 3 goals. Having said that, there is no shame in losing to this Oilers team. The Kings are just not there yet.

  2. I feel the season has gone well and we have come back from a lot so it's not over!! Some "fans" have a short term memory or just speaking from recent emotions when they sound so disappointed in our Kings!

Maybe I'll run into you again this Sat! Go 👑 Go!!!

  3. im from europe. the american way to look at sport-results and say "only the winner (or at olympia top 3) can be happy with his/her performance" sounds absolutely wrong to me. of course you want to win in competition-games, but its really important to be realistic and celebrate succes even if at some point you lose and the season ends. its also way better in life in general to focus on the positive things and not try to find the negative things.
Kings can and should be super happy with their season. losing in a bo7 against one of the favorits in a hardfought series wouldnt be any shame. and lets not say like the series is over already. kings do get outplayed overall but somehow manage to win some games. lets see.
    love ur podcast eddie. 🙂

  4. Certainly still a believer in the Kings winning this series, but if the Oilers win, definitely no way you can call this season a failure; the opposing team has the two best players in the world and the best power play of all time. Go Kings!

  6. I'm on the questioning McLellan boat. His structure leaves a lot to be desired on the defensive end and how many 3+ goal blown leads have we seen this year? Quick took the brunt of the blame (and Cal Petersen) and was shipped out, but a soft ending schedule I think masked a lot of issues this team still had defensively. The final two weeks of the season, when LA had to play some good, hungry teams, the struggled. Gavrikov was a great pickup, and Korpisalo has been great for the most part, but Kings inability to shut it down and keep leads came to a head in that Game 4 loss. McLellan is not a winner to me, and he's used his same system to build the San Jose Sharks 2.0. The Sharks team that would also start red hot and then fade, including 2014 when LA reverse swept them, coming back from 0-3 to win the series. I'm not saying they will fire him, but this conversation of questioning him I think can start now heading into next season. It took the Kings hiring Sutter (in conjunction with other factors) to take that next step, and it's not beyond comprehension to see that's a real possibility here.

  7. Oh we gonna lose tomorrow Not sure why Korpisalo is in net when Copley had a way better season

  8. As an Oiler fan, I think this is our year. But we will see! Looking forward to the nail biter of a game. Play safe.

  9. Thanks for reading my comment Eddie. The holes i was referring to was the question mark in net, shut down defenseman which i hope they resign gavrikov, another ligit center preferably that has both skill and size, and nhl ready 4th line that can play on regular basis. I do agree with you that kings have made alot of progress in the past few years but more is needed to get this team to be a serious contender. Hoping to see game 7 on Monday. Go kings
