Well if Rangers lose Saturday, Gallant should be gone. My worry is how many post-seasons and coaches do we have to go through before we can play consistently? Guess I’ll think about it when our playoff run is over I still have a teaspoon of hope.

  2. RitDitDitDaDoo

the only thing that can save us now is a bold tattoo bet

  3. dothingsunevercould

I just don’t get it. Gallant couldn’t go a single period during the regular season without changing half the lineup. He was over coaching and over adjusting, if anything.

Now, we might as well have a traffic cone behind the bench.

  4. quicklearner123

How much of this is coaching and the inability to adjust to their 1-2-2? Why is the lines still not Panarin-Mika-tarsenko? Why is Mika not playing the wing on power play and removing Kane? Our power play was never an issue to begin with. We need some changes here.

  5. masterexploder224

Every year with this team. They always manage to find a way to mess it up. Even when we won the cup, we were up 3-1 and nearly blew it in game 7.

Love them, but it’s so frustrating how much talent they’ve wasted over the years.

  6. MarsHotelSouth

Weirdly enough I feel better after this game than I did after G4. The (deserved) rage has kind of passed and the negativity isn’t settling like it did before. I think we pull out two wins and move to the second round even though it defies logic.

I had Rangers in 7 before any games were actually played. This is probably the most painful route there but it would check out. I just don’t see how this team that completely ASSAULTED Jersey, can collapse this badly and not end up recovering

I still think we need to fire GG as soon as the season’s over. Would love to get Jon Cooper who’s proven that he can actually win, and isn’t afraid to bench stars when they’re playing like shit

In terms of players that we need to take a look at… first one that comes to mind is Bread. Second playoffs in a row that he’s been bad. He’s awesome during the regular season but at the end of the day, it doesn’t mean shit if you’re a first round exit. Gets paid way too much to be doing this. So hear me out…

Not sure if I’m advocating for breaking up the kids, but if Panarin gets moved that would allow Lafreniere to slide up in his place. I’ve had my beefs with Laf this year but idk if I’m ready to give up on the 1OA just yet. Maybe let the kid develop by giving him more time. Keep Vesey on the fourth line and give Othmann a shot on the third? Idk. Just throwing some ideas out there

  7. Lucifers_Goldfish

I’m hopeful because we are the comeback kids. But Jesus H. Christ, what an absolute embarrassment. If it wasn’t for IGOR that game would’ve been 10-0. We do this time and time again thinking one or two shiny new pieces will get us to the promise land and yet we’re on the cusp of getting bounced out of the first round with a team that is allegedly better than what we had last year that made it to ECF….

GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER BOYS!!!! WAKE THE FUCK UP!!!!

  8. PikaPika24_7

I feel like I watched the same 3 games in a row. Such a fucking embarrassment for our top 6.

  9. Oo0o8o0oO

As far as adjusting our game, I know dump and chase is a common offensive strategy but we’re really innovating with our dump and change strategy.

Also, Kreider, Panarin, Lafreniere, Trocheck, Kane and Kakko all had the same amount of shots on goal as our goalie tonight so shout out to Igor for the offensive support.

To the team, please nobody do the Messier promise in the next 48 hours. The topic will be brought up constantly and it will be tempting.

  10. OptimalPhilosophy127

50 + years watching this team and I’ve never turned off a playoff game, till tonight.

  11. Hey remember when Kreider scored the first goal in game 3? That’s the last time I felt good about this team.

  12. bum_money

After watching kreiders press interview and troubas press interview? Kreider is my captain.

  13. A comment suggestion box would have more answers for the rangers’ woes than gallant…..

  14. GG needs to go

He doesn’t understand how to make adjustments

  15. glovecompartment00

I don’t know if i’ll be able to recover as a fan if this is it how it ends, I just don’t see us ever having a team this good again. With yankees and knicks even if they went on a deep run in the playoffs in the past there was always this thought in the back of my mind that lingered knowing they would not win it all, last year too when rangers were up 2-0, but this year is different I just know they can win it all if they just make it out of this fucking round man. This team is seriously so stacked and their best day is better than any other teams best day by a mile, ugh this is so frustrating lmfao.

  16. likestoeatpaint

This team could win the cup, and I’d still hate them for refusing to stick up for Igor. Disgusting.

  17. funkingrizzly

Oh yeah Mika good job with those penalties tonight

  18. EnvironmentalLet5985

I had to miss the game tonight, glad I missed this one

  19. sentry_87

Sources from within the organization saying Gallant is using manipulative psychology in the locker room after the loss. Saying “Fine, if you’s don’t care! Then why should I care?” Hoping to motivate and guilt the players into playing better in game six, facing elimination in New York. This explains his nonchalant post game presser. Playing up to the effect.

  20. jtlimbo17

I was at the game tonight. It was brutal. Truly the only word to describe how I feel. That was a devils party from the 1 minute mark of the first period until the end of the game.

Worst part is I spent all year abstaining from going to games because the tickets have been extraordinarily expensive, more so than previous years, and spending that kinda money to go to rangers games is a really big deal for me financially. But I decided to go for it because the tickets were reasonable today.

And I really thought the team was gonna bounce back from getting their shit pumped back to back games at home, but that was the devils best game of the series and the rangers worst by far.

I stayed til the end but I regret not leaving after the second period.

I know it’s not over and the rangers have overcome this before, but man, everything about tonight sucked. It was a really unpleasant evening. Not even a single goal.

  21. Key-Tip-7521

I’ve vented in the GT. When you don’t make adjustments until the shits hitting the fan to make it is beyond the pale immeasurably awful. To the chagrin of many, when you go after stars that are either old or injured, that’s on management. Not Drury, the guy behind Drury. THE GUY WITH THE CIGAR. HIM! WTF IS TURK TALKING ABOUT?! I understand what Vally said, you can’t say negative stuff to the press bc it would really ruin the morale. IF THEY HAD THE MORALE.

WHEN YOU GET OUTCOACHED BY LINDY FUCKING RUFF, WHO FUGAISED HIS COACHING CAREER BEHIND HASEK AND MILLER, WHO WAS ON THE BENCH WITH DQ, WHO(DQ) IS WORSE OF A COACH THAN TURK. UNBELIEVEABLE. You know what Ruff is saying, “Can you believe I outcoached this guy? Can you believe I outcoached this fucking guy? I SAID IT ALL SEASON. MISSING ON OPPORTUNITIES IN THE O ZONE. LIKE BREAD MISSING THAT CHANCE IN THE 1ST. HIM SWAN DIVING ON PLAYERS IN THE SCRUM IN FRONT OF NET. WTF IS HE DOING! The only guys that showed up tonight were Igor, the Kids(well Kakko), Lindgren, and Goodrow. NOBODY ELSE SHOWED UP. These guys must be West Ham United supporters. They listen to Forever Blowing Bubbles. “And like my dreams, they fade and die.” THEY LOVE DOING THIS TO US FANS. IT’S TRULY EMBARRASSING WHEN THE REST OF THE TEAM THROWS IN THE TOWEL IN THE MOST IMPORTANT GAME(S) OF THE YEAR! DAMN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rant over. I’m at a loss of words. Oh if Turk is gone after this year, whos a good replacement? But hey, don’t worry the Rangers will bring in a retread of a Dinosaur coach or someone. Day 10 of the journey really, really, FUCKING SUCKED.

Onto Saturday. Game 6. Season on the line… Again. At this point, we (the fans) are basically asking for an equivalent of a Hockey miracle. Keep the faith…. If we still have it.

  22. GuyWithTriangle

Nothing they can do but win the next one. Same situation as last year

  23. SoberBarney

The locker room can very easily take this in their own hands. They won’t. Blame gallant all you want since it’s easier, but it’s entirely on this skating group for losing 3 straight

  24. funkingrizzly

Just think we couldn’t beat a spicy pork eating ECHL goalie last year either til our backs were against the wall so maybe we still got a chance against this Schmidt

  25. LeftHandedScissor

Careful what you wish for. Was pumped when Vanecek got chased after game 2, thinking that if Vanecek let up 5 a game the AHL guy would surely let like 10 by then get the hook after a game and a half.

  26. ProMisanthrope

Woof. I don’t think we’ll ever see a roster better than this. If we can’t win with this team, we won’t see a cup for a looooonnng time folks.

  27. Grouchy-Power-806

Word on the street is Akira Schmid is the love child of Patrick Roy and Domenick hasek.

  28. SirusRiddler

Yeah, it’s fine. Guess I won’t see a championship from any of my teams this lifetime. I’ll just… Have to be okay with that… Sigh.

    Game seven maybe? :/

  29. happywafflez

Went to game 4&5. Embarrassing and crazy how much better the rock crowd was than the garden.

Please bring some life with you if you are there Saturday – I know they are not giving much to cheer on but the crowd really does make the team feed

  30. zaddy0094

They need to have a players only meeting tomorrow. Wake everyone the fuck up and go take game 6 at msg

  31. bum_money

How did gallant say tonight was their best played game of the series?!? Did he watch something different?

  32. birdsofwar1

I want to be optimistic because we’ve been in this position before. But we’ve got 3 games with dogshit playing behind us with no end in sight.

  33. spotlitekid

We can have all the talent in the world, but in hockey….you gotta have heart!
We look like the tin man!!!!!

  34. i’m seeing a lot of people say it’ll be a while till we have the shot at a cup because our roster is so stacked but how good is our roster if we don’t show up when it counts and we are dead in the water on the ice? i’m not so sure i buy the whole idea that our roster is stacked. we have kane but let’s be honest he’s been pretty invisible. i think most players have. and there’s no heart. they’re showing that there absolutely is quit in new york in my opinion.

  35. Grouchy-Power-806

Vally said 37 dumps the NYR did tonight, zero went on goal.

    They are bad at executing.

  36. I’m 0% a Rangers fan but I fucking feel for you guys, wtf is this

  37. PoorInvestRichGamble

This Panarin ZBad Kreider core is done. They have to find a way to move on or this is going to be the mediocrity we have for a long time
