Connor McDavid makes the NHL look like a beer league..

Connor McDavid became the first player to hit 50 goals this season.. and we give a brief breakdown about how he’s been able to do it & what it means for the Oilers heading down the stretch.
i actually play in a beer league and score roughly one of those every year. to be fair tho, i'm scoring on beer league goalies. and often, i'm aiming for the skate (as opposed to the back of the mask) because the goalie is prepping to drift across and cover the anticipated wraparound so his stick is already out of the way.
The NHL is going to change the rules to bring back head hits, obstruction, 5-on-5 OT, and the neutral zone trap, just to prevent McDavid from putting up big fake goal numbers in his career like Ovechkin.
McDavid's team play is severely overrated. as individual skill goes, he's one of if not the best there is currently. But players don't win cups, teams do, and when playoffs roll around. Sadly, Edmonton's lack of defense is going to come front and center again as a key weakness. you can pay him all the money in the world, but he doesn't seem to bring the team player aspect that lifts other players up skill-wise from forwards to the goalie. Gretzky wasn't the best because he scored a lot(he did), he was the best because he set up his team mates for success alongside him on the ice. The oilers besides McDavid and Draisaitl are no name players, no one outside of alberta cares who is on the roster other than McD and Drai, and the team leaders aren't doing anything to help change that to truly become a cup contender team. I'd like to see a Canadian team win the cup finally after all these years, but the oil wont get there without some serious gameplay restructuring. The NHL, Edmonton management and the fans need to stop deifying McDavid, and focus on the team as a whole. In conclusion, McDavid is a great individual player, but a flawed and dare i say, a bad team player who is currently an ineffective captain.
Honestly that's how it felt to watch Mario Lemieux in person. You felt he was playing in a league below his level and needed to be 'moved up' – except there was no 'up'
0:30 – Sidney Crosby did those behind the net bank goals so many times, that you can make a compilation on him scoring those goes just against Hendrik Lundqvuist alone. I can remember 4 or 5 at the top of my head just against Lundqvist.
Lemieux useto score from behind the net also…goalies are so active and so good anticipating plays happening that sometimes you just gotta do something they just can’t react to…banking it off the goalie is never a bad play…you can’t score if you don’t shoot
Talented guy for sure in a free wheeling era. He would not have thrived in the Bob Probert or Broad Street Bullies era. Very few of today's offensive stars would have. I liked that hockey better, but to each his own.
D will shut him down in the playoffs. He's awesome, his team is good WITH him. They were swept last year for this reason, see them exiting out before conference finals for same reason
Dude whatever – he has 0 charisma and no Stanley Cups – his leadership skills and ability to inspire teammates pales in comparison to Nate Mackinnon. I grew up watching Gretzky and Messier live. Until the dude inspires his mates to bring home the Cup and he hoists the ultimate trophy it is all just talk and highlight reel bullshit. I feel like watching him interviewed after they flamed out last year he sounded like a sore loser. How’s they do this year game 1 at home? Cheers
What an insult this title is.. McDavid makes NHL look like beer league? give me a break. Hockey is a team sport. What about the guys on his team. He's good for sure ,but there ain't one player bigger then the sport. People make him out to be great. Where's the cups. least Sid the kid won shortly after he broke into the league. Yes with help from his team! Ovi took a while but got it done because he had a good team. So yeah McDavid is a great player, but saying he makes the NHL look like a beer league..Nobody wins the cup alone and he is not good enough to get it done even with a pretty good Oilers team. McKinnon got it done..took the whole team. I'd rather have a fantastic team full of really good players who gel then watch one guy year after year win a bunch of trophies that mean nothing to anyone but him and his.

Gretzky is better
Would absolutely love an oilers/bruins Stanley cup this year. Game 7 with a Pasternak last second goal to win it for the B’s 😎 #SorryNotSorry
NHL Loves Russia Putin Loving Players
Too good for the playoffs?😬😬
He should hit the puck real good.
i hope so, he is a great Canadian
Is that actually a real acronym or name, rvh? Sounds like mumbo jumbo just nonsense 😂
bruh, that Draisatl pass 👀
what the actual fuck
McJesus currently has 5 games to score 8 goals.
I think he could actually pull it off 💀
I don't care. I'd forgot hockey existed until some random piece pops up. I'll go back to forgetting about it.
He probably on EPO

It’s not that hard to do. It’s genius for discovering the tactic but not hard to do.
My guess is he will get 70

He will reach 69 and set record of his own. Purposly 69 goals. That's it 😀
If he stays healthy, there’s no doubt he’ll beat #99’s point totals
lol. send this guy back to 1985 and let's watch him annihilate the League. 150 goals and 150 assists seems reasonable.

Based on how many cups he doesnt have
Yeah he is a Beast!! Unfair Good, but I think Pasternak has the potential to be as good or better, Go Bruins!!!

there is always going to be that ONE GUY that is a step ahead..let's see if he is a DURABLE player though….
he'd make half of his points in the nhl from 20 years ago and keep his mouthpiece on his teeth 🤣
He’s not “too good” that type of play should be expected in the nhl
or you can call it, post knee down.

Its interesting that he has the capabilities to score 60+ every year, but only was hitting 30-40 goals a season prior. I wonder what changed.
Connor McDavid will be the GOAT
God save us from lefties!
Like the video, very much 😁
see the title is hilarious because i make beer leagues look like the nhl
Connor mcdavid makes the “coyotes” look like another league
McDavid is a different calibre of player just like Gretzky and Lemieux were different in their eras.
Incredible.

remember who achieved 50 in 39 ?!!!
He's a g.o.a.t
The NHL is a bud light league there’s no checking and I’m sure slap shots will be next. Old school hockey was the best will never see that again.
If they try not to injure him which a team will do yes
D will shut him down in the playoffs. He's awesome, his team is good WITH him. They were swept last year for this reason, see them exiting out before conference finals for same reason
I'm afraid he's gonna be the BEST player to never win the cup.
I mean he’s amazing but if they don’t produce … they both gone for next year … Edmonton would be crushed crushed and then what
