Scott Wedgewood Signs Extension Plus Dallas Stars Offseason Projections (with Sam Nestler)



Today Sam Nestler joins the pod to talk about a plethora of Dallas Stars happenings. Goalie Scott Wedgewood has signed a two-year extension with the Stars worth $2 million. Wedgewood came in at the trade deadline to backup Jake Oettinger and it appears that will be the case for the next couple of seasons. We also discuss which Stars free agents will leave and which ones will stay. We also fantasize about potential additions to the roster that could make the Stars better. To close, we talk about the NHL draft and how the Dallas Stars should approach it.

  1. We need to trade Khudobin away to get rid of his salary, then we can sign klingberg. I liked hearing about Bourque, and him potentially being the most nhl ready of the junior prospect group. I’m ready for preseason, Let’s go Stars!

  2. I’m hearing from fans of ex DeBoer teams (SJ/LV) that Steve Spott is terrible at running the power play. With the recent appointment of Spott as assistant HC it would be interesting to delve into his record and hear opinions as to his past performance running the PP; and what we can expect to see in our future. Info and discussion on Nasreddine and his role might also be worth doing.

  3. Sam didn’t take into account that radulov is gone already. Where can Bourque, Stankoven, or Johnston play? Ummm idk… that’s a tough one.
