Bunting is a 20+ goal scorer who does what guys twice his size on the team refuse to do hence the leafs getting Accari, ZAR, Lafferty, McCabe, Schenn. Playing ZAR, Kampf or even Kerfoot on the 3rd line instead of Bunting makes no sense especially when the team has only been putting in 15 minutes of actual good hockey each of the past 2 games.
Sammy… do you understand the difference between God forbid and God willing? God willing they win in 5… not God forbid…unless you like a longer TB 1st round…❤

It’s awesome to see the Leafs getting many of their goals off tip ins, and screens. That’s how you stifle a hot goalie.
Love Vali input and comments. Fascinating the importance of goalie’s head movements. Pang was on another level. Wish Sportsnet could assemble a crew like TNT for Leafs games and actually joke around providing entertainment. Bieksa is the only one with substance.

More STUPID comments by Sammy McKay regarding Bunting. The Leafs are finishing their checks on every chance they get. So "waking up" Tampa was a dumb dumb comment!
Bunting is the reason everyone is saying how more complete Mathews is this year .He has had no choice Bunting looks out of place in the D end of the ice and doesn't have a clue or doesn't care and Mathews is using up more than his share of energy there and if Bunting ever does anything it's not really work he is just engaging doing stupid things and might take a penalty .We don't need another Kadri losing a series for us.
We are sooooooooo relieved Bunting is out. I’d be happy if he never played again. The Leafs need to be desperate to put Bunting back in. Because he will for sure do something stupid. Guaranteed.

1:42:50 – LOL. I thought he said the F word there. And even if he did, it would have fit in perfectly. Was thinking this might be the 2nd time Kyper drops some swear bombs on the podcast and he'll have to toss a twoonie in the swear jar. But alas, it was "BUCKING".
The irony is that these last two games might not have needed overtime heroics had bunting been in the lineup and been able to chip in with a goal or an assist. Leafs have been outplayed for most of the series and you scratch a 50 pt guy who’s been in your top 6 all year. Seems more superstition than anything. The ZAR kampf Lafferty line has been okay but they’ve been outscored in the series but there’s a narrative they’re a great 4th line.

😶🌫The difference with Bunting is, that he isn't loved by Leafs fans (yeah yeah, some do, blah, blah, blah). Marchand is loved by Bruins fans, Army was loved by Leafs fans, go down the list… and GOOD rats are loved by their team's fans. Bunting not so much, which tells you he's not very good at his "job".
Excellent point by Kyper, Matthews is ultimately the reason Bunting is not player game #5. I never even thought of the Matthews factor in all this, but I love it when someone makes a point so spot-on that it causes you to change your opinion.

Bunting is only worth 4.5 mill if he is playing with star players . He can add value to a team but if you don’t have a star in your top six he won’t produce like he did with the Leafs
They have 2 more games to close this out .They do not want it going 7 games ,It is goes 7 games we all know how it will turn out ( if history is an indication ) they will choke again if it goes 7 ,Everybody is saying then have 3 chances to close it out but realistically they have 2
