You’ve spoken a lot about the Canes being too conservative with their offense. That seems to be backfiring on them in this series as the NYI have very little going on offensively, so grinding it out is much better for them than having things opened up.

Watching the ESPN broadcast felt like I was watching the Islanders broadcast. The woman color commentator especially was very Annoying with her bias.

Islanders played a mostly clean game for once. Props to them.
Islanders sure made that game exciting letting CArolina get that 2nd goal. I am utter astonished as I walked out of room when CArolina tied it at One. Then its like they were offsides or they took the goal away? Man I was like not sure what was going on hehe. I know from Clark Gillies they came back down 3 nothing from Penguins as he was on that team hehe. I was the one telling him about it before he had that reaction which is great ;). Brock Nelson my favorite Islanders current player getting it done. I really like that Engvall trade giving him size leading to Goals. Much like Edmonton traded to get Bjugstad who Dominated LA leading to Series Clinching Goal just about. Skinner was shaky though. Sorokin finally played well enough to win a game :).

Aho got hit in the face and Nelson hit the puck out of the air before it even hit the ice and it went between Aho’s legs and into the net. Aho was really leaking pretty bad as he skated off the ice. Later on both Ahos were in the box at the same time.

The Nelson goal was with Aho on the ice. Aho took the puck to the face, then the puck bounced to Nelson’s leg and then Nelson batted it (no high stick). After that, Aho went for repairs

I've been watching hockey long enough to have seen the Leafs win the Cup on a B&W Admiral TV, and Gary's little money-raiser is far more annoying than those stupid FoxTrax Glow Puck trails.
I wouldn't mind it so much if the ads were static during play, but having moving ads, and disappearing players is just bush league.

Strong outing from the Islanders. Do they force a game 7? I doubt it, but I hope so. I haven't given up on an Islanders vs Rangers round 2. Just like I haven't given up on an Aho vs Aho fight
