  1. Don't be lazy and call a goalie "fine" because he didn't fall apart on the ice. Get the best goalie you possibly can. Even Vasey wasn't enough this time.

  2. Trade Willy to Carolina for Freddie and pair him with Kallgren. They would be an amazing duo, and Freddie could teach the kid all he needs to know about playing for this Leafs team. It's what should have happened, not all this retro, hope it's good enough crap.

  3. If Mtl ate some of Prices contract, I'd trade nylander and whoever else is needed for price. Be about the same money if Mtl ate a few mill

  4. Dump Mrazek, Let Campbell fly, Offer Jake Oettinger everything you’ve got

  5. Trust me, the minute I heard Carey Price might not start the season, or even play again at an elite level at this point, I did my research to see who the Habs could bring in to help Jake Allen. Do you know what I found? NOTHING! There is no decent, starting goalie available on the market that could play 50-60 games. So because you're the Habs, and you're rebuilding, who cares? You tank another season to get in on the Bedard sweeptakes. If you're the Leafs, the time to win is now! And yes Steve, Campbell can and will get $6M on the open market. Especially from a team with the cap space like Buffalo or New Jersey
    .

  6. Why do people listen to Darren Dreger on this stuff? Any agent worth his salt knows that you talk to Dreger and say your client wants X$ million, Dreger parrots that in the media and then people talk about it as if it's somehow what the market is dictating. He was played like a fiddle like this in the Marner negotiations. Can we please stop listening to what he says on contract negotiations?

  7. Any particular reason why Tampa already making moves and they just finished… but Toronto has been out for awhile and sitting around with their thumb up their arse?

  8. They talk about "not blowing it up" but Campbell was such a massive part of them even being a contender that I think letting him walk is basically blowing it up. There's a better solution: trade nylander or pay someone to take Tavares god awful contract. They needed to really hold on to their key assest and frankly, there's so many ppg players last year that Tavares or Willy are expendable.

  9. They need a starting goalie who doesn't break all the time. I am sick to death of bringing in 'projects' and rentals. "Just do your f^%King job!" Truer words were never spoken. And I look at what that d&^k Kadri said, "To those people who said I was a playoff liability, kiss my a%%!" Actually pal, you were a playoff liability and it seems to me you were once for Colorado too. Winning one, doesn't make up for being a d&^k three or four times.

  10. I'm worried about the Leafs management, they have drafted poorly, they have not managed the cap at all, they seem to been more concerned about the players feeling rather than winning, I really think the Leafs need someone running this team that thinks like a REAL MAN and not a social justice warrior!!!!

  11. Nobody’s worried about the leafs… Until they get rid of one of their big three players the rest of the league isn’t worried about a damn thing. Will never ice a competitive Stanley Cup contender with those anchors. Sounds funny but Matt Murray could be the answer for Toronto. If they can get the Sens to retain salary then Matt Murray could be phenomenal in Toronto behind a real defence. Staying healthy would be the only issue for me

  12. Leafs should be worried. Campbell was never a real starter, even if you could sign him. You need a top 10 goalie to win

  13. Of couse – every team wants good goaltending and Leafs have none in the NHL. Jack Campbell is at best a good backup. If they want a good one they can kiss a lot of their star players and picks goodbye.

  14. No starting goalie,48 million on 4 forwards and 1 d-man.If Dubas doesn’t clear cap space it’s no playoffs or another first round exit for next season.

  15. Hardest position to fill. My Grandson is a goalie and the pressure on them is unbelievable. One goalie I was really impressed with, and didn't really get a shot with the Leafs, was Kasimir Kaskisuo. The mechanics of goaltending is one thing, the head space is an entirely different animal. He's got the mechanics and the cool demeanour. I really wish the Leafs would give him another look.
