Jack Campbell has caused a debate for the Oilers crease

When Campbell came into the crease, he was ready to go. He had sat for over an hour and a half after warmups, and the Kings tested him with a few great looks, but he shut the door.
“Let’s go. Let’s get ‘er done,” said Campbell when asked for what he was thinking when he got the nod to enter the game. “I felt great right off the hop. The guys did a great job in front of me.”

  1. Campbell deserves credit for how many saves he made. But I don't know how to take him because he looks so small in the net, he seems like he's turned the wrong way, out of position and scrambling. It's not visually reassuring but in the end he's one of the two keepers we have and maybe it's appropriate to try him. Maybe he can go on a voodoo jazz improve streak and somehow magic up a force field. If not, it's Skinner until further notice…

  2. i started watching hockey again because of the oilers. 18th in the league in december, and now look where they are. hyman is the shit. only player i have doubts on is nurse but we need him to fight lol

  3. I will give Campbell credit when credits do, cause Campbell has let the team down many times, yeah he pulled the Oilers to a win by it was also that the team kept the puck out of their end. Cause if the Kings were in our end we would not have won.

  4. I just find skinner makes moving around the net look hard. He looks stiff. Campbells movement looks easy

  5. Goalies are voodoo. Smart money if going with the hot hand. Skinner is still a rookie and Edmonton has relied on him heavily thus far. That was never the intention. Campbell was great in relief, was looking way better in his last handful of regular season games. Skinner rebound control has been suffering as of late. Could be some mental fatigue showing. I'd go Campbell for game 5.

  6. I appreciate and respect what Campbell did under the circumstances, but if you go back and watch his play he was still fighting the puck and was very fortunate more didn't go in. I definitely go back to Skinner he is fundamentally better positionally and takes away more net, his movements are calmer and more controlled also. However, only Woody and Dustin's opinion counts here.

  7. The answer to that question requires more information. If Woodcroft pulled Skinner because the team was playing like garbage in front of him, then you have to go back to Skinner. If Woodcroft pulled Skinner because his level of play was poor, then you have to give the crease to Campbell.

  8. YOU START CAMBELL NO DEBATE WOODCROFT HAS SAID ALL YEAr long you go with whoever is playing best

  9. It shouldn't be a debate. You start Jack Campbell and you will lose the game and likely the series.

  10. campbell all the way, he has experience that can't be replicated through perfection like Skinner has like you say
