I’ve been saying Bresee for a while now. Looks like a quick-twitch Tuitt to me & they’ve wanted to replace Tuitt as much as Shazier after the falloff of run defense. If he’s available, I think there’s a good chance they take him.

There certainly is a difference in how Kevin Colbert conducted the free agency period in comparison to how Omar Khan and Andy Weidl are. Based on the free agency moves made so far it’s not a stretch to think they set themselves up to take the B.P.A. in the draft. I do agree that with all of the information floating around there is no consensus opinion on how the Steelers’ 2023 draft will unfold.

Spot on DK, I've been saying DL all off season but i just don't know if that's the way the cards will fall because i think Carter could go as high as #2 and more likely #5-6…i hope he drops! I'd love a trade up with Chicago to pluck him!
I agree we need a replacement at DT but I think we can survive a season without a guy who will only play 40% of the snaps. Corner is biggest priority due to only a couple of seasons before pat Pete retires and they would start this season. Cam might have more time left than Pat Pete. I would also be OK with OT.

I agree with you on your stances, but what worries me is that I dont see us stopping these great WRs in the AFC. Also, Canada… if they can't stop these high flying offenses and can't be one, even on occasion, how will the steelers win a Super Bowl?

I’d love Bresee at 17 and Banks at 32 but there are a lot of intriguing cornerback prospects that could be had in the 3rd or 4th round. Garrett Williams for example is a productive player with the size and speed desired but is coming off a major injury. That time between rounds 1 and 2 is going to be so fun for us!
The Steelers have made a decision about who they will pick if that player is there when it's their turn based on who other teams will pick. Don't think this takes into account possible trades by other teams. And then there is the possibility of the Steelers trading up or down. Totally unpredictable. 😮
Good morning DK once again thanks for doing the show and I look forward to watching you this afternoon with Ramon. Do you think we could all stop looking at labeling players that we need to be like certain players either in the league or that we don’t have, and just look for yes player to fill that position. I mean like Ryan Shazier will never replace him but if we can find somebody that is a quality player to fill that role then we can move forward instead of looking for a Ryan 13:51 & also a rod Woodson was a great player we had so if we are looking for quality players that are in the traffic deposition and that’s what we should forward and then room them to be better players
Either I'm way too focused on taking CB or OT at 17 or I'm really, really low on Bresee. I think they can get someone like Benton in round 2 and be more than fine.
To your point on foundational pieces, center and DL. When they were winning Superbowls and playing in title games that's where they were dominant, not good, but dominant. This draft has a few foundational centers in it.

If the 3 primary OT's and CB's are gone and trading down is not possible, Van Ness, Banks, or Breese are highly probable. I would love them to consider Brian Branch since he solves both their Safety and Slot Corner holes in a single player, but not sure they would pick him at 17.
The single highest priority entering the offseason IMO was upgrading at LT. That needs to happen in the draft now. If you can trade up and get a player like Paris Johnson Jr. or Broderick Jones, I think you do it – and then you can spend the entirety of the remainder of the draft on the defensive side of the ball.
