The New Jersey Devils won their first game of the playoff series on Saturday, however, they’re still down two games to one against the New York Rangers. But winning game three might’ve been pivotal for them because now they’re at least giving themselves a chance to overcome the deficit. Akira Schmid, Curtis Lazar, and others stepped up big-time for the Devils. Game four is tonight and the Devils will look to even up the series before heading back to the Prudential Center.

New to locked on Devils. Great job. Not surprised at all if the Devils come up with the win tonight. Playoffs are very unpredictable, anything can happen. Go Devils!
Maybe it's just me, but John Marino played pretty solid defense for us that win and often kept us in the offense by snatching Ranger clear attempts out the air.

I'd like their chances a lot better if they can figure out a way to stop taking so many penalties and generate more offense, period, not just on 5-on-5 but when they do get PP opportunities.

OT wins are big in the playoffs. They are momentum builders. NJD have figured out how to uproot the Rangers game plan, but now they need to strike while the iron is hot. Also committing less penalties would be a plus. Can't expect the PK to do that night in and night out.
