Let me know what you expect from the Habs this off-season
The only UFA I could see coming back is Belzile, but even that isn't certain. I wouldn't be surprised to seeee a team like Arizona offering him a deal, where he is likely guaranteed more NHL playing time. For Gurianov, I wouldn't mind seeing the Habs take a risk and not qualify him. But I also wouldn't be upset if they give him a 1-2 year bridge deal at a similar value
They will push hard to trade up if the draft does not land them in the top 3. To get Mitchov. Unless they land Bedard. I predict maybe the Hawks would be involved. Either their second 1st round pick or 24 1st rounder would be the price along with the swap.
Michkov, just what they need, IF he could perform at the NHL level and smaller rink….just what they need, another small player to keep the team mediocre at best and nothing if they made the playoffs. Take a bigger forward that can score yet be smart and disruptive in the D-zone. Bedard an exception to that but would be incredibly lucky to "win" the lottery. Michkov is too risky, several reasons .
Byron is likely retiring, not a rumor, he himself suggested the possibility of a background role in the organization.
I could see Kent trade the florida 1st round pick for young top 6 but no idea who that could be.
Chris wideman has another year on his contract, unfortunately. You were correct to leave him off your ufa board
Montreal will pick the smallest center in the 1st round. It's in their blood. And why are we talking about the Habs? They are irrelevant. Talk about a good team.
I am thinking there probably going for another goalie I don't see Cayden stepping up I see him getting traded see another top 6 forward coming to Montreal and Florida 1 round pick getting traded also see anderson getting traded
habs are never touching Michkov
I would like to see Habs sign all 5 of the RFAs…..I saw some good things from Gurianov and of course RH-P and Ylonen. Caufield is a no brainier….a premier goal scorer. I love Pezetta…..sign him…..a great 4th liner….gritty and a great teammate.
Of the UFAs….. Byron's career is done I suspect….Tierney might be a good 4th liner to keep…..bye bye Drouin, Monahan, and Belzile…Drouin's salary free up will help the cap crunch.
PLD to me is Winnipegs most rounded player.
Monty and Allen are not #1 goalies and Primeau is unproven….plays great in AHL though. Habs desperately need a bonefide #1 goalie and we all know these do not grow on trees and teams are unwilling to part with top tenders.
Hope Habs can part with Hoffman, Edmondson, Armia.
Habs will probably trade the FLA 1st rounder for PLD or another good young talent.
Michkov would be a great option but he's under contract in KHL for 2 years so not immediately available.
Oh….BTW…..good on Evgeni Dadanov for finding his game in Dallas…..looking good and back to scoring goals.
Exciting stuff GO HABS GO 💕
