Wood, Yegor, Smith, and Vitek ALL need to sit the BENCH Boquist, Siegenthaler, & Schmid have simply got to PLAY. Also, we need more goals and skating pep from the Blue Line…I would even throw in Luke Hughes as it truly can't get worse than getting blown out at home 10 goals to 2.
The Devils are done. All those points during the season don't mean anything come playoff time. I feel bad as a fan. The truth is a good defense will stop you all the time. Our coaching staff had no Plan "B". The Rangers saw it and the result may be 4 and out.

I think they can win game 3. But I think it's dangerous to lean on their road record, or anything, from the regular season. It's irrelevant. The first two games didn't resemble ANYTHING that happened in the regular season. They were 3-0-1 against the Rangers. It doesn't mean anything now. That's the first lesson they need to learn. It's fine to lose, but you can't give the Rangers too much respect and you can't get outworked.
I hope they can do it, making the playoffs is an accomplishment on its own, but a comeback win against the rangers in the first series, and possibly winning the whole cup would be incredible.
Tomorrow is a MUST WIN! But realistically…theyre done. They're playing like crap, and taking careless penalties, which is costing them games. I despise NYC…but I do not see the devils coming back from this one.
Play Schmidt on Saturday, Vitek has not been good these past two days, and it sends a message to the rest of the team. If they're going to sit Siegs again, which they shouldn't, let Luke Hughes play. At least he won't take dumb penalties and provide no offense like Smith.
The Devs are ok, we’re just young. Just need to win a couple and make a respectable series out of the rest of it. Even if they don’t win, just go out and show some compete in the playoffs. LGD!
Going into this series, I was concerned about our goaltending.There is no way we are coming back,based on our first to games.Goaltending wins series, and we don't have one.We are young but in the off season we need to find a solid goalie.
