Thoughts on Danny Zhilkin, Grav? I've seen a lot of guys have him outside the first round, but no one really has any issues with his game except for small skating concerns and a lack of production

Ivan Miroshnichenko probably will go 2nd or 3rd round. When he makes his recovery some team will be very happy they drafted him. The further Brad Lambert goes down the board the bigger steal he is. Linked to Detroit probably the most in the last 3 months…….Yzerman will let us know what his thoughts are about Brad passing on him or selecting him at #8.
I really hope the Canucks just take a swing and take miroshenchenko at 15. F-it, swing for the fences.
Do you think Mcgroarty dropping due to his skating ability is a lot similar to Jason Robertson in his draft year? I could easily see Dallas picking up Mcgroarty in the 1st round as a way of having another power forward like Jamie Benn in the pipeline

Jagger Firkus, i watched him quite a bit this season and i genuinely think hes a potential elite forward, incredibly good shot and speed, nice hands great at keeping the puck. yea hes small, but so was point, adb, johnny hockey, etc.

The most likely steals are the Russians – Vladimir Grundinin seems like one I’d bet money on.
I also agree on Devan Kaplan. One other guy I think could be a serious steal is Noah Warren. Big mobile defensemen, looks the part of a top 4 blue liner.

Don't get fooled by players on very good teams like the USA national team.
2nd 3rd round players seldom ever make an impact.Sure there is the odd case but to hope for more than 1-2 beyond round 1 is the best you can hope for but then it's a guessing game.
The way i look at prospects is i predict them going to the Habs a very weak offensive team then i decide how would they do in a habs uniform.
I mean Zack Hyman is the luckiest player ever playing with some of the top talent in the nhl so far in his career not many are ever lucky enough to see that happen with their careers.If Zack Hyman started his career on the habs he would likely still be in the AHL.Point being don't let success be judged by being on a top team and the powerplay unit.

dude i know us sports fans don't generally keep up with current events, but seriously…i hate to break some bad news to you but there's a pretty good chance russia isn't even going to allow their superstars to come back, let alone drafting and stealing away their top prospects. I think smart orgs are gonna stay away from anything russian for now.

Forgot Frank Nazar. Lots of insiders mock drafts and reports have him outside the top 15, he should go top 10
Tucker Robertson. He’s a +1 over-ager. But he just seems to have that “it factor” when I watch him play. He had a pretty good year in the OHL. He has a pretty complete game. One guy on YouTube had him ranked in the first round, which is frickin insane if you ask me. I nearly spat my coffee out when I saw that. But he could be a very solid 3-5 round pick for someone.
He doesn’t have any main skills or attributes that necessarily stick out. But he doesn’t really have any holes either. He can skate. He can shoot. He can pass. He can play defence. Reminds me a bit of Connor Brown in Ottawa. Robertson hasn’t had the offensive success in the OHL that Brown had, but stylistically, very similar. And both right shot RWs.

I’ve found that a lot of the offensive dynamo’s of this draft are smaller and it’s causing them to slip down the board. An example: Jordan Dumais. If he was 6 inches taller he’d be a first round lock, but he’ll probably go in the 5th because of his size while Alex DeBrincat and Johnny Gaudreau prove that small guys can have huge impacts
Lane Hutson at 5'8 156lbs
For sure, he'll need to stock up in weight and strength to play in the NHL or find another profession
I have trikozov in my top 15 I'm a big fan of his size and style of play
I’m willing to bet somebody takes Hutson in the 1st.
Stars getting Lambert in the 1st, Casey in the 2nd, Hudson in the 3rd, Grudinen in the 4th, and Kyrou in the 5th
I think Alexander Perevalov has the potential to be a huge steal, I would take him in the 20s. I think his natural offensive ability is so high that he could be a point per game foward in the NHL especially if he is on a good team.
I'm hoping habs snag Hutson !!! They talked to him so I'm hoping
Detroit need top 6 center and Yzerman and his team is the one that can fix some major issues for high potential players. I wouldn’t be surprised if he takes Lambert at 8. Lambert IQ issues is fixable. It’s about posessioning and patience with and without the puck. His vision for harder passes is amazing and he complete those passes a lot. Also he didn’t get any help about his linemates last season. Those guys just made bad decision after another. It’s almost impossible to play with those guys. Potential is huge with Lambert and you want gamble for a bit in late top ten. Lambert is not dropping to late first. Someone take the risk, if it is not Detroit, then Columbus at 12.

Totally agree with Grudinin, assuming you saw him at the U18’s in Frisco last year like I did and honestly thought he was electric. I have him top 20. I have Lambert still at 4 as well. Only knock is his hockey sense, and when you look at the tools he has, they’re the best in this class. Totally agree with the North America take on him. He’s rotting away in Finland and that’s a shame, he’s as talented as Jack Hughes technically if not more.
If the leafs get one of McGroarty or Lambert in the first I’ll be ecstatic. If they pick up salomonsson in the third I’ll lose my mind with excitement

There is just problem drafting russians for real now because ivan fedotov got himself in jail because he wanted to go america signed contract with flyers but if you draft russians in 5-7 round they could be big steals years later
I like your list and love your knowledge and videos. Best hockeychannel out there. Couldnt agree more about the McGroaty pick. He's an great player, what i dont agree with is Brad Lambert. I've heard about problems with the attitude and that he's being lazy. But who knows, it might just be rumours. I really believe that the slovaks got something big going on again. Slafkovsky and Nemec will go high, but i expected that Adam Sykora or Filip Mesar would be on this list. Both done great in Slovakian top-league this year, Sykora is the one i believe in the most. He's a late born 2004, born in september. He's bigger then Mesar but both needs to put on some muscles. He did well in world cup too playing with men scoring 3 points in 6 matches. Im really worriead about the situation with Ivan Fedotov and the things going on in Ukraine will make many Russian slip to later rounds. That sucks i hope that this gets fixed because its scary stuffs you hear about the situation with fedotov. As i flyer fan i was so excited to see him this year, we've seen Russian goalies in the same age as him comming over and doing fantastic. I really hope it gets fixed. Great vid again man. Justin Cote from drummindville is a draft steal idk if a lot of people know this but he's doing so good plus he's only 17 so he'll probably go back to QMJHL one more season and then play in the NHL
