I know it would make the game a lot less simple in terms of penalty lengths, but I think the NHL should look at increasing the time for embellishment to 2:30 or 3:00.
Great now another player that I have to dislike for diving. Are coaches asking players to embarass the game of hockey for a potential powerplay? Keep calling these penalties and hopefully players learn to stop being pieces of shit who dive. Do not let this turn into soccer, I’m begging you

Sometime I wish theyd only penalize the guy who embellished. It send the message home a bit clearer that this isnt soccer.
good call. He did hold him but the arm flailing and just falling down outta nowhere was pretty dramatic.

If you embellish the play, the other person shouldn't go to the box. The whole point is the infraction isn't really there.
