I have always rooted for Khudobin, so it is nice to see him finally get his due.

Feels like ‘11 Bruins
Ironically he looks like Russian Tim Thomas
Every season he was above 900 how's that inconsistent?
Dobby was one of those guys that I immediately fell in love with. There was just that thing I saw in him that got me pumped when he was out there. I think the majority of Stars fans warmed to him pretty quickly. He’s very quickly become one of the most beloved people in Dallas, my friends who barely watch hockey regularly are asking me about him. I don’t see him staying with us after this season, I honestly see him getting added to a team who’s rebuilding or needs a veteran to switch starts with a younger goalie, but with this run he’s an absolute legend and I adore him and will be so happy for him if he gets a starter job.
I've seen some sources say Tim Thomas was 5'9", but yeah I remember him being listed at 5'11". I smell something fishy and it isn't me!
I'd rather have a healthy, ready to go Bishop ANY day over Khudobin.
That said, he's a great goalie and I'm glad we have him. I've been saying this whole playoffs that his playoff numbers suck, but the team is finally giving him goal support.
Hell, the team is just scoring, period.
WE'RE NOTGOING HOME!!
It's all about the team playing for goalie, blocking bad angles and NOT blocking vision. Khudobin is good, but what makes him great is the team infront of him, willing to play for him. Worshiping goalies is fine, especially in case of a good guy like Khudobin, but totally ignoring defensive forward impact is annoying.
So drafted in the 2004 draft, after the 2003 draft. Yes shannon that is how drafts work lol.
Dobby is one of the most likeable NHL players I've ever seen. Amazing attitude, hilarious dude, and always battles hard. Sadly I think Bish and Otter will be on the bench next year, but Dobby will always be in our hearts. Go Stars!!!
Cap hit and injuries
There are few players in the league that are easier to root for than Dobby.
I thought Dal was done without Bishop. In my mind Khudobin is a great backup but not a guy you start back to back in a playoff setting. Looks great so far.
Id say dallas needs to keep him if they wanna keep competitive like this. Bishop is amazing….and frail as fuck. Dude is an injury prone train wreck.
Its why i cant see tampa being able to let go of point ever. Hes your #1 center when Steven 'Glass Cannon' Stamkos is injured. Which is a lot
Ah, the guy who carried Magnitogorsk to a championship. Still think we should have got him with Geno.
Unreal. So happy for him.
I’ve been a fan of his for years. Great to see him go on this run.
Lol'd hard at that Manny Fernandez joke.
But seriously, it will take a cup to stop people from downplaying his talent. To me, he's been hands down the best backup in the league ever since joining Dallas. Halak is close, but it's Bishop/Khudobin story that tells me that a second great goalie is an awesome investment if you haven't already brought yourself close to a Maple Leafs situation.
He was a great 1B goalie for Carolina, and just was on an awful defensive team both years, and Ward struggled those few years as well. I thought if Ward sustained his cup success for a long time, Ward and Khudobin made an excellent 1A/1B pair. Similar to the current setup with Mrazek/Reimer or last year with McElhinney. But I'm glad he has found a home, and is taking them on a cup run
You have to put James Wisniewski up there with Patrick Marleau as top Canes legends
i like Anton-good attitude and a battler-who cares about style as long as hes a good guy and gets the job done! oh yeah i like his mask too!
Can you please do career of Marian Hossa ?
Loved him here in Boston and wish him all the best in the finals
He needs to stay with Dallas because Bish can't stay healthy
Atta boy dobby
If i'm not mistaken in '16-'17 he started that season 0-6 or 1-6 and just got lit up. His 7-6-1 record to finish that year was actually impressive: The Bruins couldn't win in front of Rask to close out the last 20 games and get into the playoffs, Khudobin got hot at the end and really saved their season.
i think Dallas will make him a decent offer – maybe 2,5 to 3 mil usd/season for a couple of years and he will be a really perfect backup for Bishop!
