Today was a good day.
1. The Yankees blew out the Angels. Cortes was his Nasty self.
2. The Rangers blew out the Devils. IGOR! IGOR! IGOR!
3. The Leafs blew out the Lightning. F the Lightning.
Curious where the islanders fans are complaining about a team getting 5 more power plays than the other team….
Just wanted to say this was the first time i can recall Kakko getting mad and actually pressing people, something he lacked in last years playoffs. Deff was a noticeable game changer out there tonight
Absolute dominate performance in periods 2 and 3. Igor was there when he needed to be. Glad kane was noticeable this game!
Was in attendance tonight. Devils came out hungry in the first few minutes as expected. They got that first goal and the place was electric – great atmosphere the whole night really.
Honestly expected we’d be getting a split but what an effort from the boys to get freaking five unanswered! All around phenomenal performance – so worth the money. LGR

Think they dress 19 year old Luke Hughes for game 3 to try and rally the Little Bros?
The devils tried to ramp up the physicality and we showed that we won’t be pushed around by them. What an effort by the team today, everyone played well. About halfway through the second we took over the game and didn’t look back.
Taking 2 on the “road” is big, but we gotta stay focused on 1 game at a time. We know what can happen, even if you go up 2-0 in a series. Still far from a guarantee. Need to enforce home ice advantage on Saturday.
Also, shoutout to Kane for having a sick game after looking like an NPC in the first. And also what a game by Kakko. Deserved that goal, and liked his willingness to stand up for himself when the Devils tried to get under his skin after the whistle.
One last thought. What the hell was Ruff thinking scratching Sigenhalther for Smith? Not gonna complain, but that certainly was a choice.
Big opportunity to give ourselves a comfortable cushion Saturday.

So glad to see Kaner have a nice night too. A bunch of us including myself felt he had been really pedestrian at times, which could be true but the fact he had a performance like this just shows his capabilities.
This team is loaded.
Kane does look a bit slow but you guys have to realize that hip injuries alone are tough for mobility. We’re not seeing the 25 year old Kaner but rather the experience he brings

Hey everyone! I couldn’t watch the game tonight so I’m trying to go through all the analysis and highlights. Looks like another dominant win! Anyone in particular stand out tonight?
Man what’s better than a 5-1 win? Doing it again the next game! I didn’t expect the series to start this way, but I’m here for this dismantling of the Devils all day, every day. Aside from the one defensive lapse at the start of the game that led to their only goal, they played about as perfect as a game they could.

rangers fan in another section starts a lets go rangers chant. devils fan in the row in front of me starts a rangers suck chant. after a few call and responses, Krieder tipped in his first goal. devils fan sits down and immidiately stops chanting, clearly unhappy. i yell RANGERS SUCK 2 or 3 times in his ear. dude doesnt even turn around. his rangers fan friend sitting next to him turned around and gives me a combination “chill dude but also, hell yea lets go rangers” high five hug.
absolutely stellar victory. nothing better than rangers fans waving goodbye to devils fans that started leaving after the fifth goal. the salt pouring from devils fans eyes was the best ive ever tasted in my life.

You can see where the playoff experience comes in here- the devils seemed to be still thinking back on Tuesday while they weee playing, and the Rangers were just focused on the game today. Almost every single altercation (especially in the first) was started by the Debbies.
Section 211 was going off for the Rangers. Halfway through the 3rd so many Devil’s fans had left the LGR chants were dominating the stadium.

That sequence of goals was absolutely beautiful. You can see Vanacek slowly getting more frustrated.
1st goal- another Tarasenko goal to start the Rangers off.
2nd goal- he knew Kreider just broke a record for PPG goals. Now he broke it again? Fuck.
3rd goal- AGAIN?
4th goal- an absolutely beauty of a goal by Kane, one of the best NHL players of all time on a team he just started with.
5th goal- the kid line shoots one past him, meanwhile their kid line has been MIA.
Chicago Blackhawks super fan here turned Rangers super fan and Mr. Patrick Kane unassisted backhand…. Gave me chills seeing him do that in a Rangers jersey in the playoffs knowing he just wants to bring his special skills to the table and he seems to have waken up a bit ! He was moving around more “dancing” on the forecheck which is 👍 and I knew he was IN the game when I saw the way he was shifting and bobbing around , he FINALLY is here I believe hahaha. When he grab that puck and he could’ve passed it, I knew he was going to take the shot because he always makes that fucking shot always. Anyways the whole team was amazing Shesterkin oh my God fantastic the second game is so incredibly important especially in another building. I’m not gonna say anything is done at all. Day 3: The battle resumed; the enemy was desperate. Truly, their leader in charge as what Vally said, made unnecessary changes. But, I could care less. Not my problem, not the Rangers problem. From the start of the game, Trouba sends a message to their captain. They got a power play goal. And at first, I was like oh no. Here they come.
But then, the 2nd period approached. Have you seen what happens when take food from a hungry wild animal? They get PISSED! PRETTY, PRETTY, PRETTY, PRETTY PISSED! The guy to get the Rangers going, was the guy who I was tingling about. That Russian beast (sry not you Bread), known as Vova. A wrister. Then, when you take food away from one animal, the whole pack/pride fights back. 2 goals from officially Ranger legend Christopher James Kreider. Chris Kreider, IT’S A POWER PLAY GOAL!!!
3rd Period, the desperation in the enemy was showing. Until, the Rangers second biggest asset felt hungry too. Patrick (My Name’s not Rick) Kane. For the 2nd game, the Rangers scored 5 goals. But as overall play wise, it was truly dominant. Like taking food away from a spoiled kid. Despite the ppg given up, the penalty kill and power play was unbelievable. Faceoffs, yeah I’d say that was the only problem really. Schneids getting into fights. Turk must have been smiling on the bench(despite not physically showing it).

Overall, Rangers take a commanding 2-0 series lead in the series. Rangers win! Duhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Rangers win! A hungry Mika Cat and Playoff Pig is even more scary. In a dad voice keep your (us the Fans and the Ranger Players) heads! It’s not over yet. Same situation as last year. The Devils will be even more desperate. Must win for them. Onto Game 3. Kane made me eat my words tonight. This team is absolutely terrifying with him starting up.
And we haven’t even seen Mika, Bread, or the kids explode yet. When they do, the league is actually fucked.

I think it’s fair to say the Devils have experienced a Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly at the hands of the Rangers.
I’ve watched almost every single game of the playoffs and through the first two games of each series, the rangers are by far the best team.
Oh man the fans over in their subreddit are saying that they went from a top 5 team to a bottom 5 team overnight.
I just feel bad for them. The devils are a good team, we didn’t shut them down 100%. Were just the stronger playoff team right now. And we’re performing on a level above what you would do in the regular season. That’s playoff hockey, kids.
