Dirty plays only count when it’s AGAINST the Isles!!!

It’s called Ruffling, cheap shot the captain of the home team to change the dynamics of the game.

To ruffle the feathers of the fans to make them boo every time Martin touched the puck.

The islanders played alot better in the 2nd and 3rd periods. It for sure changed the tone of the game. Mark messier said it best during the first intermission.

    Is it a penalty? Yes

    Is it dirty? Yes

    Was it effective? Yes

Did the islanders get the outcome they wanted? No

Ah, the plop. Seems to be one of those things that happens a little more often in the playoffs.

It’s one thing trying to get away with this in a scrum, but every part of this was wide out in the open. Wonder what would have happened if this happened to McDavid or MacKinnon.

Did I hear sportscentre correctly when they said there was no call on the play? How the fuck is that even possible?!

Martin was confused. He thought he was still on the beaches of Long Island and Staal was a beach chair. It wasn’t his fault.

But for real, what a dirtbag. I see this series getting real scrappy in NY. Won’t matter though. NY is getting swept. 🧹

That’s a Cleveland Steamer right there. Eddie Shore invented it.

I don’t like the hit but it got called. Even if it had gone uncalled then I could bargain and say its the playoffs or something. But there are so many hits or shoving in front of the net that turn into this and it makes no sense to not be policed.

according to the Isles fans in the GTs “bullshit it was even 2”
