  1. If this team was being managed properly, Demko would be getting as few starts as possible. Just enough to keep him in game shape. But the more he plays, the bigger the risk he'll get injured again in a lost season. They don't need him stealing games right now. He looks like he's back to form, so give it a rest, play the kids a lot more and let's see what we have for the offseason. But we all know the Canucks aren't being managed properly. We just saw the contrast between our last trade partner, Detroit and what they're doing and what the Canucks are doing. Detroit is further ahead than the Canucks are and are stocked with picks and prospects coming up. They're going to be a force in under 2 years. Meanwhile, the Canucks are lower in the standings and have next to no one of real impact coming up – so they go out and act like they're a contender and add a top 4 defenseman. Perpetual mediocrity in Vancouver. I don't care about the playoffs. I want to see the team actually do something when they're there and the bubble created the illusion that the team was a contender and even after they lost a couple of their most important players, management still thought they were close. Having said that, if we don't like Rutherford and Co, who is out there who would realistically do a better job? I would say Ken Holland because of his work in Detroit, but his work in Edmonton has been hit and miss.
