    Watching the leafs play makes me happy that the Sens are doing it right. Leaf nation is delusional thinking that they are a cup team.

    Jets played so well, leafs played like shit. Happy to see it.

    Losing Hedman and Cernak is huge for Tampa though, hopefully they can come back soon

    Maybe trade DeBrincat for a 1A goalie and an extra blueliner or a productive bottom six forward. Going with Forsberg and Sogaard is suicide. Plus we need 7-8 NHL proven defenders and at least 3 top lines to be fully in the playoff debate. Coaching should also be handled. Laviolette or Boudreau would be interesting.

    Important Leafs history: The Leafs have never won the cup in a year where there were more than 8 opposing teams in the league. Now the league has 32 teams.

    In ancient history, before the original six in 1967, the number of teams varied each year. Notably, in 1926 there were 10 teams and the original Ottawa Senators won the cup. In 1931 the Leafs won against 8 teams, and in 1941 against 6 teams. When the Leafs last won in 1967 it was against the 5 other teams making the original six.

    So the Leafs have never won the cup against as many opposing teams as the Ottawa Senators did in 1926! (and they had 27 more years between 1964 and 1991 when the Sens didn't exist).

    Guys, I think you are a bit delusional with DeBrincat and Brannstrom.

    I personnally think that DeBrincat should be traded. No way this guy will give you a cup. I hate his attitude. He’s not a winner.

    Brannstrom cannot be on a third pair and there is no place for him on the top 4. He has value now and must be traded.

    You’re watchin’ the playoffs right? So have you seen the backends of the contenders? Do they have diminutive defensemen? And if yes are they on the third pair? We need a big experiment d-man or if not big, a gritty and tough one. A Radko Gudas type of guy. That shoot right btw and that will be UFA in july.
