Not end of the world,but ya cant cry bout refs or luck,as ive heard some fans.More deserving team won tonight-shots were misleading,& a lot of score effect involved.Grubauer had a good night,but we made life way too easy on him.Hes been a below average goalie since he left the Avs,& he didnt suddenly morph into Patrick Roy.But even the worst nhl goalies have their nights-especially if ya make life easy on them.
I think the team,& even fans got a little overconfident,by avoiding Minny or Dallas,especially since Seattle is so playoff inexperienced. They were playing loose,& free tonight-as nobody was giving them a chance.I work at Ball,& I even mentioned to coworkers before the game-Seattle was loose as f%$k-when i walked by them warming up.
We will see if that continues,as the series gets deeper,& pressure intensifies-especially if they have a chance to win. This isnt a huge deal,but is a wake up call. Unlike the nba-losing 1st 2 at home in the nhl playoffs isnt a death sentence…but it isnt very likely you will come back either. So we better see more effort,& a better performance Thursday-we really need game 2.
