I personally have nothing against Phoenix Copley, but I do have the concern of what if he gets hurt? Now we're stuck with Quick who will be both cold and slumping.

Regarding Alaska Man(my nic for Copley) Who better to have as a Mentor/Back-up than 2X Cup, Conn Smythe Jonathan Quick. With him on the bench, he's like a Jr Coach, and an extension of Billy Ranford on the bench. I've seen him with Cal, I've heard his teammates not just goalies. Sounds like he helps them all, sounds like the young guns just meld to him. He can and will be very valuable whether in net or on bench. Also Copley does come from the Capitols/Hershy Bears system, I'm sure it's top notch. He will be fine.

I told Mr. Copley when I met him at the Kings event on Wednesday that I call him "Ullmark West"….he then asked me why I call him that – I told him that his record is almost equal in wins and loss ratio but that Mr. Ullmark gets a lot of national limelight and Mr. PC doesn't because of that stupid East Coast hockey bias thing…….I also did tell him it pisses all of us that he doesn't get that national cred….maybe that's why he wanted to kick Gibson's ass last night…(LOL)..he was as calm in person as he looks most times on the ice….total gentleman for sure…but it was cool to see him show some grit last night….real cool……

Kings are no Longer my Team thanks to TMac along with Blake who ruined it for next Decade. Mediocre Mikey is not a NHL D-man nor a Top 4 or 6 or Pairing. Coyotes while Durzi the only reason this scrub team makes playoffs was +3 your scrub player was -3 with Drew. I'm done with the Franchise I will not support them after next year. My Worst Nightmare I thought maybe they pay Scrub Mikey 3M a year but Voynov money. Locking up a horrible player 33M for 8 years is abysmal. You can't keep paying these 5 foot players twice their market value like Lizotte making 1.6M compared to Vesey. Kings fans that like this deal or celebrate or like these no talent players. Brown cost LA 8 years with his contract not getting past 1st round. Now Mikey will too.
I don't know why it keeps being reported that Blake is waiting til Summer to get a goalie when Kings are one Copley injury away from disaster. Why not consider Korpisola, Lankinen, Swayman, Knight, Portillo, Wolf or Vejmelka by deadline 1.5 wks away? Don't need a LHD as much as a G since Bjornfot & Movarare are adequate for now. If Chychurn costs too much, consider Gavrikov.
