Probably for the best. Steve sounded very disappointed with how things went this year in GR. Pretty rough season over there.
YES. Now hire Dan Watson from Toledo.
I think taking a look at the GR record is kinda surprising given the talent we have down there.
Wow, quite the overhaul. I don’t follow GR super closely but it sounds like Ben was really not up to par these past few years. With all the prospects coming up through the pipeline a strong coaching staff in the minor league is a huge need.
Should’ve happened last year but better late than never!
I don’t think I’ve ever been this happy to see a minor league coach essentially fired.

Either way, when you do as poorly as they did with the roster they were given, they weren’t staying employed.
This was the right move. Clean slate. Would expect the Toledo coach Dan Watson to get a good look for the GR job.

It’s been rough to be a griffins fan for a while now. Friends of mine know coach Simon, so I’m not going to say anything bad, but it absolutely wasn’t working out. No one is learning defense in GR and that’s carrying over to the big club.
Columbus just fired Legace give that man a fucking phone call.

It was not pretty in GR. Lots of talent with the exception of goalie (Ned did pretty well). The team was out hustled in one on one battles all season. The shifts were long and changes were chaotic. Didn’t look professional.
Cleaning house. Love it.
Mike knuble stays so we can draft his son Cole in the 5th round or later!

Remember when some people wanted Simon as our next coach lol.
Thankful for what he accomplished but this past season was a clear step back
