Obviously small sample size and one could argue Chychrun replacing Jokiharju would provide more value than Stillman providing good production on the bottom pair…however that said, I believe Adams made the right call not sacrificing pieces of our future including Mittelstadt, who Sabres fans wanted shopped at the time, for a player who has been relatively disappointing with Ottawa.
Instead he bought low and got good production from Stillman without trading any key pieces of our organization’s future

This is funny but don’t forget that Adams straight up admitted they tried to trade for Chychrun but Arizona chose Ottawas offer
Shout out to all the doomers on deadline day saying Ottawa was ahead of us after landing Chychrun.
He shined in that 2-8 run after the deadline 🤣
I really liked Stillman and Boosh pairing. I think they brought an element to our defense that was missing.
Yeah I wouldn’t be upset with Stillman and Boosh as our 3rd pairing again next year I thought they played well together. The real story is what do we do for Powers partner.
While the comparison to Chychrun is funny, the Buffalo’s Stillman comparison to Vancouver’s Stillman is better. Vancouver fans were ecstatic to just get anything to get Stillman out the door. That he was a positive impact for Buffalo is a great data point for people who talk about chemistry and coaching systems being as, if not more, important than, talent.
Chychrun was such a big deal, and the journeyman reject was better. Why? Because hockey is a team sport and individual talent only gets you so far.
I like Stillman, dude like to throw the body around and brought at Afinogenov memories. He’s alright by me
Hopefully Adams opens up the checkbook this off-season and takes the sabres to the next level. Buffalo needs a contender
Trust the process:)
This is an amazing stat actually.
I liked Stillman a lot tbh. It’s refreshing to see a defenseman not named Dahlin or Samuelsson actually take the body
Everybody performs better when they leave the Canucks
One day these twits will learn about sample size.
