[Dhaliwal] Right shot defenseman Filip Johansson is joining Abbotsford for the playoffs. He just finished his season in Sweden, this is a player the Canucks are very high on.

ICYMI: Abby clinched home ice for Round 1. Opponent still TBD.

    Schedule for the playoffs:
    – Game 1 – Wed April 19th 7:00 PM @ Abbotsford Centre
    – Game 2 – Fri April 21st 7:00 PM @ Abbotsford Centre
    – Game 3 – Sun April 23rd 7:00PM @ Abbotsford Centre

Some of the players to watch: Silovs, Höglander, Podkolzin, Rathbone, Klimovich, Hirano, Bains, Räty and now Johansson!

What does Abby’s projected D-Corps look like now? It must be one of the better ones in the A

Juulsen played well after his call up, before he got injured…

Unless I’m mistaken, I think Dhaliwal just reported he may be looking to become a UFA and shop his services.

That’s a little disappointing: he finally showed something and is an RHD with some size and bite to his game.

But, anyways, Abby should be fun to follow. They have a totally stacked AHL defence.

Some of the young players up front are going to have to step up if they want to go on an extended playoff run.

Bains seems to have cooled off a little after playing his best hockey the last couple of months.

In relation, Aktell and Pulli signed elsewhere, what Euro/NCAA free agents are still on the market to use those remaining 4 contract slots on?

  5. Are the AHL playoffs shown on Sportsnet or other traditional channels or do I need a subscription service to watch them?

“Canucks are very high on him”.

    Well that’s good news.

Finally some Canucks playoffs hockey! How do you even watch this?….

Fun fact: Johansson was teammates with Canucks legend Loui Erirksson this season.

Just when I thought I understood the rules. How is Johansson able to join Abbotsford? He wasn’t on the roster at the NHL trade deadline, which should mean he’s ineligible to play. He also played this year in Sweden on his entry-level connect, which means he can’t sign an amateur tryout like Max Sasson.

Where’s the best place to watch these games?
