honestly, bedard is obviously the absolute desire in this draft, but if the wings can move up to 2-4 they could easily add a potential elite player. this draft is absolutely stacked, and outside of bedard, the red wings getting fantilli was a really cool idea in my eyes.
if they got bedard and he hit his rookie potential with stevie’s development, i could imagine the red wings cracking a playoff spot next year. either way, there’s an abundance of draft picks that detroit has and if they can land a little higher than they projected it is a huge win in a draft class like this.

I think realistically those two players are flipped, Barlow goes 9 and Yager goes 18. Either way I’d be satisfied with those two picks along with the path followed in the 2nd round. This is the year I think we need to take swings. The Atlantic is only getting better and the light for the wings to be a force in the division IMO is getting smaller unless they land a real impact player or two soon. I like what they’re building and am very excited for the future but we desperately need a difference maker.
