Well now that the tank has been completed successfully we need to start looking at candidates for our new head coach. There is no way Verbeek can justify keeping Eakins for another year.

Hopefully we get someone from the Devils staff, whether it’s head coach or assistant. They’ve done phenomenal work turning a young roster into a powerhouse team. The Ducks should follow their template exactly. Lots of parallels there.
Edit: Just announced that Ducks will not be renewing Eakins. Thank god.
We should scoop the coach from Quinnipiac who just won the frozen four. Saw his interview on Chiclets he seems like a great guy and said he’s be interested in heading to the NHL for a head coach job.
You think we’ll wait until after the draft lottery? Curious if we land Bedard how that would affect a coach’s decision to come here.
