  1. When you watch Matthew Knies you immediately know he's going to be an impact player. What sets him apart from a guy like Robertson is his size and durability. Knies plays a heavy game.

  2. It's a big step up from college hockey to the NHL for most youngsters. There are however some exceptions.

  3. As a green rookie, he is bound to make mistakes. If he pulls a Galchenyuk and costs the Leafs a game, I hope the fans dont get on him. He tried a little between the legs back pass in his own end the other night which tesulted in a great save by the Leafs goalie. Let's hope he wont try that again! Good luck to the kid.

  4. I agree with Bourne. Inject some youth and they can make a difference. The year Montreal beat us I swear having Caulfield and Suzuki imo helped their overall energy

  5. First couple games is run on blind adrenaline for alot of players coming in, he'll revert back to the mean, which is still much time needed in the AHL.

  6. Knies skating looks like a young skater. Similar to when AM started with the Leafs, he wasn’t a very good skater and they worked with him and his skating vastly improved. That’s what I am sure they’ll do with Knies. I wish him all the best with the Leafs!

  7. Toronto has lost six consecutive series in the Mitchell Marner-Auston Matthews-William Nylander-Morgan Rielly era. Until the big players play big in the playoffs, Toronto goes nowhere.!
