I think it's a safe bet that McDavid will be the one hundredth player to score 1000.

I really like Giroux, but I don't hate that trade. I think Tippett is going to be real good

Giroux is my favorite player in the nhl outside of my favorite team. I’ve always loved and respected the guy. Happy he hit 1000
G is the main reason I ever cared about hockey in Philly and I'll never forget the shift to start game 6 vs the Penguins
He has a wicked shot, but always looked for the pass first which had cost us the game more than once.
It's also worth mentioning he's consistently been one of the best at faceoffs since he's been in the league.
I miss him in orange and black. It’s too bad we could never get him complimentary talents
He can still contribute offensively although not at a 1st line level, particularly the ice time of a top line, he could play the 2nd line for a couple more years, move down to the 3rd or 4th if his offense drops off but he could still be a leader in the locker room if not on the scoreboard. Bet he has 4 or 5 years left but will probably sign a 2 or 3 year deal in Ottawa. TBF he would be a good Captain for Winnipeg, still no C for the Jets, we got some leadership issues, he could help them out after this trainwreck of a season.
Lots of fun to watch him hit 1000 in person. He has been so huge for the Sens this year
