great vid! curious re: your comments about less defensive emphasis with higher scoring in the Q. Jared McIsaac is someone who's defensive game has really impressed me this year, especially his gap control, but his offense hasn't been terribly impressive, despite putting up points. Do you think think his defensive skills are made to look worse than they are by being in the Q? or that his offence gets overstated?

He is not as physical as you suggest. He uses his high hockey IQ and is good with his stick and positioning to shut down top offensive talent. The physicality will come with size as he matures and fills out. Keep in mind he is 18.
From the CHL Top Prospect game on ice testing: "Defenceman Noah Dobson of the Acadie-Bathurst Titan led the way in overall on-ice testing based on results across the 10 different categories."
He is very high IQ, his on ice skills are top-notch and he is a shut-down defender who can stretch the ice with a better than point a game stat sheet.
He will go to Detroit 6th.
