I disagree with Button…the Oilers D is not even close to the same 2 additions in Ekholm and Desharnais…both big and mobile has changed Edmontons d core…Nurse does not have to do all the heavy lifting now…plus last year both Nurse and Draisaitl where badly injured against the Avs…if Edmonton stays healthy forget it…they go all the way…best record in hockey since January…on pace with Boston.
Oilers have better defense this year. Better goal tending. Draistl is not hurt this year. Yammo was out for most of Avs series last year. Nurse was hurt. And there is more depth this year on all 4 lines. Oilers will take the West over the Avs, if they meet. Avs are missing players from last year as well: Kadri, Kemper, Landeskog….and Landeskog wont be in game playing/playoff condition if he does return. All signs point to Oil taking the West.

Kraken is a good team. They may be 4th in the Pacific but they have a winning record vs the Avs this year and Life time. It's quite conceivable AVs might not make it out of the 1st round. Anything can happen in the Playoffs and the West has been so tight all season long.
I think there should be an honorable mention to Winnipeg, Dallas, and Vegas, I'm sure you can understand why for Dallas and Vegas, but for Winnipeg they have a goalie that could easily steal a series no matter if you're the better team, they have star players that show up when required to, and they have a pretty good defense, a good defense coupled with a goalie that can single handily steal a series away is a big threat, and they're starting to get hot at the perfect time.
