    If Poink got the game for his hit then Spezza wouldn't have done the hit, refs fault, I would give Spezza 10 games. It was a great chance for Spezza to play the top line and now he's lost that.

    Both games. Minnesota, and Winnipeg…were a refing disgrace…seemed to me that both teams had the mindset, that if we can't beat them, let's take them out…a none call on foligno, charging into Campbell…no penalty,..but let's be honest …had that been a goal, would it have counted?…,. I doubt it so why wasn't it a call…we all know as leaf fans..with out Campbell…we are fecked….again ,seemed totally obvious to me in both games….that the intent was there to injure….

    I can't believe Spezza gets 6 games when lemieux gets 5 for biting a guy possibly spreading disease. That's bullshit!! I think next we should start firing pucks up the boards waist high at these refs to straighten these guys up man!!

    Brad Meier respondsible for whole scenario for not calling penalty On Poink for kneeing and putting Sandin out for3-4weeks. Hope Meier is standing in front of team bus when it takes off next game he refs. Might knock some sense in him He should be suspended, the res assoc. have no balls

    I think pre meditated nature of the hit By Spezza is sorta aggrevateing to the number of games. Spezza jumped over the boards looking to hurt pionk, in real time, I didn't even see that pionk threw out the knee. Slowed down it was there, but as the play happened, just like the refs, I missed it. Either way was a split second decision by pionk and spezza made that call before the puck dropped after sandin went down

    a guy got 5 games for biting someone which is CLEARLY not an accident and has a history of being dirty but Spezza who knee's a guy accidentally will both guys going down and having no history gets 6… COMPLETE BULLSHIT NHL player safety is an absolute joke

    Yes what Pionk did was dangerous and the 2 game suspension was deserving. What Spezza did was reckless as it looks like intent to injury so the 6 game for me is justified.

    But the big issue for me was the officiating of the game and how it was an absolute crap show, I'm surprised that the refs aren't held accountable for this in the form of a fine or suspension. Also I would to get an explanation of the officiating from the refs and see why they let things go out of control.

    If the referees did their jobs Spezza wouldn't have come off the beach and went looking for Pionk to settle the score.

    Spezza doesn't get 6 games for this hit. He gets 3 games for the hit and 3 games for taking control of the game. Rubbing in just how piss poor the officiating was. Certainly we know the NHL is not going to acknowledge poor officiating when they can use a couple of players as the scapegoats.

    Should have been 10 games for the intent to injure. Pionk knee was unintentional mishap.
