That’s because we have a game on Columbus — who wins a tiebreaker presently. If we both win one game — that still holds, of course. We need to loose out and hope that get a point/points tonight against Philly. They’re gonna get a point against PIT and likely not against BUF either. Tonight or bust for last place.

the Blackhawks don’t _truly_ have the top odds right now, CBJ does unless CBJ gets a point.

    Blackhawks record: 25-49-6 – 56 pts

Blue Jackets record: 24-47-8 – 56 pts (1 less game played)

the Blackhawks “points percentage” is lower, because they’ve played one more game. What really matters here is that the teams are tied in points, and the first tiebreakers is regulation wins – of which the Blackhawks have 1 more.

Barring a CBJ regulation win, or at the very least a CBJ game going to overtime so they get a point (invalidating the need for a tiebreaker), CBJ is still in control of its own Bedard-odds-destiny. If CBJ loses every game from here on out, in regulation, they’re guaranteed top odds.

All we can do is cross our fingers and root for both Anaheim and Columbus, as dirty as that sounds.

You guys played yourselves last night. Throwing away 3 goals in 5 minutes. How do you think the hockey gods will react? Not good. Watch how the blue jackets pull this off. we will show you mf how to tank.

  6. Pens fan here. Keep it up boys!! Bedard would look great as a Blackhawk!
