    Blah, blah, blah, same smirk and same garbage. This Rangers team are always underachieving and always such a letdown. Screw this team and their apathy for the fans.

    i want someone to ask him why Patrick Kane hasn't played in the last 3 3v3 OT periods where he's been available. Kane is the NHL's all time leader in OT assists. He is uniquely well suited to 3 on 3 OT. There is no contact, no fighting for pucks, tons of space and tons of guys in position for cross ice passes leading to goals. He is made for it. He is one of the best players at it in league history. Gerard has had him glued to the bench for the last 3 of them. While cycling thru the entire rest of the forward roster. And his team is now 0-0-3 in those games. They left 3 points on the board. And they are 2 pts behind NJ. And they are 3 pts behind Carolina.

    So why, Gerard? How does Kreider or Chytil or Tarasenko help you win in OT more than Pat Kane? What are you even doing? It's the dumbest thing I've ever seen by an NHL coach. Not exaggerating. Kane is designed for those periods. If you use him for nothing else, use him for 3 on 3 OT. He will win you the game. If it goes the other way, Shesterkin will cover it. And obviously they are losing them all anyway.

    I am really worried with the playoffs. This defense and the defensive play are really not good. And we can't play a full 60 consistently

    88 just hasn't really fit with this team…they play better without him. He had term so it would have been a nonstarter but Niederreiter would have been a much better fit as 2RW. Hoping Kane can find another gear in the playoffs!
