@New York Islanders

This is how you get an entire NHL fanbase to HATE you…

Bo Horvat had some ‘nice’ words for the Vancouver Canucks last night after a 4-0 New York Islanders win over the Philadelphia Flyers. We take a look at Horvats production… and dive into how the Islanders can be a massive underdog heading into the NHL playoffs.

  1. The question set him up for that to be fair. also I don't mind when players show any sort of personality. Can't stand the nhl and their robotic interviews sometimes

  2. he’s right, going from a bottom team to having more success almost immediately is much better for him as a player

  3. “Big talk for the guy being outperformed by Beauvillier” damn people on Twitter can be absolutely savage 😂

  4. Fans boo and trash talk players all the time, I think it's awesome when players volley back, It shows they are human too – one of us. My only concern is fringe lunatics can easily stir up mob mentality in normally peaceful fans, then real harm can occur, i.e., Montreal and Vancouver.

  5. I'm sure many fans will completely understand. Same with his former teammates

  6. Good for him. Canucks have the shittiest fan base in the league. They deserve the owner they have and the yes men he hires to manage that clown car. It will look good on them when Petey and Quinn bail and all they have left is OEL and Miller.

  7. “He was a lot better in Vancouver” he was the only fucking good player on that team

  8. I love the comment. Sick and tired of people being so afraid to speak what’s on their mind because they’re afraid of what others will say about them. Vancouver sucks

  9. Words matter especially with the prevalence of social media. I suspect there will be a "mea culpa" from Horvat soon who unwittingly stirred up a hornets nest here in Vancouver with his throwaway comment.

  10. To be fair, she did ask two questions here. I think his reply was directed at Canuck management and answering the playoff push question, not the fan question.

  11. I don’t think he gives two fucks if he’s hated by Vancouver tbh 🤣🤣🤣

  12. as a canucks fan i don't even think he's wrong. the canucks org has treated its players horribly for too long and i'm glad they're finally taking flak for it. that being said the islanders are much worse and have worse fans.

  13. Vancouver has been a basket case of a team lately so a player happy to leave and saying it publicly should be a wake up call to management.

  14. I think what he said is understandable because like their GM’s felt like they were inspired by every other oilers season and don’t act like the Canucks would have a huge playoff push in the next 2 years

  15. what are you talking about? We all know what was happening in vancouver. He got a chance to be in the playoffs. This is ridiculous and means nothing. What a farcee are you guys short on news?

  16. As a bruin's fan, I would be glad to play islanders in the playoffs. We played them 3 times this season and won all 3 easily with the exception of the first one. However if they do end up getting the first wild card spot I do wish them well against carolina.

  17. Nah. He deserves to take a jab the way he was treated at the end. When he gets into town next season, Bo's still getting a standing ovation.

  18. I don’t know why he’s picking on the fanbase, though I agree with his sentiments completely. But he’s not going to slam the ownership or management who didn’t put a good enough team around him because they made him rich.

  19. Bo's feefees were hurt but, oops, you dropped your class. You can choose to handle the situation any way you like I guess. NHL fans have long memories though.

  20. my favorite nhl channel gets straight to the point, isnt corny, and gives great analysis. keep up the work bro
