The Boston Bruins are dominating the NHL this year – will they go all the way and win the Stanley Cup? Or are there too many question marks?

Among others, key players Patricia, and licker boy, are old, and will wear down in the playoffs
Nobody has covered Pasternak all year. He's going to have defenseman all over him in the playoffs.
Safe picks are the teams at the top of the standings. Smart picks are the teams who are on a heater going into the playoffs. Should be a good one!
I'm a leafs fan and while I'm always confident. This year I'm confident like I've never been before! This is the year! 1967 NO MORE!!!!!
Being a lifelong Leafs fan, I just had to watch this video, lol. Yeh the playoffs are a totally different beast than the regular season. Toughness and endurance are bigger factors in the playoffs.
One thing you can`t argue with is statistics. And under one in four Presidents cup winners have lifted the cup. They are not the certainties that some believe.
They will not win the Cup. They have painted a big target on their back, plus they may have burned themselves out going for all these records. Look at Tampa a few years back with their great season. Even the Red Wings that one year. How often does the number 1 team all year win the cup. Very seldom anymore. Plus I doubt they can keep that level of play up all season and all playoffs.
One word: Rangers.
Even the undefeated Dolphins had trouble winning their first two playoff games in 1972. They were behind in both games and had to come back to barely win them. The pressure to win when you have had awesome seasons is immense.
What if Pastranak goes cold in the playoffs. Teams will try and shut him down and force the other bruin players to beat them.
…because President Trophy winners don't win the Stanely Cup
The bruins ain’t the Lightning tho 😈😈😈
Ummm. The Bruins are built for the playoffs. They have had playoff success and tons of playoff experience in the last decade and are chalked full of veteran leadership. To say they won't win the cup because they're the best team in the league is asinine. This is the stupidest video I've come across in a long time. Thanks for that 🤦
First off. The playoffs are a whole different ball of wax. When the Bruins last won the cup. They went in as the number 8 seed, fought for every goal. Nevermind all the overtime games, and the fact that they never got a PP goal. The following year they won the Presidents trophy and were knocked out in the first round. This year I believe they have the best chance to go all the way since then. But they will have to up their game from the drop of the puck to when they lift the Stanley cup. If they don't. They will fail. And yes I'm a Bruins fan and have been since I was a kid.
They will win
Bruins are not built for the playoffs.
huffin on copium much ?
As a life long non-bruins fan, I would love to see this outfit’s bubble burst in the first round. I have as my inspiration the 1971 Boston Bruins who similarly dominated the NHL 70/71 led by Orr and Esposito and went down in the first round to an old Habs team which missed the playoffs the year before and had a rookie goaltender (Ken Dryden).
Hard to watch them play great teams and pick against them when you see how they perform. If I'm putting down 100 it's for them
I saw this video recommended and instantly thought "wow this is exactly what I was looking for" absolutely love it
Great video. On the "President's Trophy Curse" however, I ran the numbers since the trophy was introduced in the late 80s, and TLDR: Statistically, there is no President's Trophy Curse.
The PT winning team has the best odds out of any team to make the cup final and win the cup, by a sizeable margin.
Similar to the theme of this video, yes, the rest of the pack combined has better odds than the #1 seed, but the #1 seed has about a 15% advantage over any other team.
Can't over look the current champs in the Avs. They are hot going into the playoffs.
The depth on defense can’t be matched by any team. Sweeney loaded up the forwards also to cover for injuries at the time. They have a third line that most teams would have as a 1 or 2.
Fun fact, the last time the president trophy winner won the Stanley cup was in 2012-13, lockout year, and only 8 times the president's trophy has won, I don't think the bruins will make it past the 2nd round
This is like Kc and eagles like everyones like Eagles gonna win Eagles gonna win and then that fumble cost the match. You cant bet on anything without a risk and looking at the rangers roster this year, they might pull an upset
The Bruins are not the Tampa Bay lightning team that choked.
The team is balanced, with players that have plenty of playoff success, and great goaltending.
They are also the best team in the.league 5 on 5 which is a stat.thst really stands out.
That's a big deal in playoffs where penalties are called less often.
Other teams rely far more on PP success to win games.
I am by no means a Bruins fan, but their team is going deep – and barring injuries to top players- they have to be considered the front runner this year.
Maybe another teams goalie plays insanely well and steals a series somehow, but I would be shocked if they didn't at least make the cup final.
Mentally, this Bruins team is ready. They lost to the Hawks and the Blues, I don't think they let up this year. The only team that scares me is Edmonton with that firepower
Why the Boston bruins won't win the Stanley cup: Edmonton Oilers
Red wings won the Presidents and the cup
Nicely edited!
I’d choose anyone else, and I’m a bruins fan. Simply the odds aren’t in our favor, just because we did what we did all season, and yes we have experience but this team needs to prove themselves at that stage if they’re going to win.
President trophy has been out for 36 years and 8 teams have won the cup. I can rest easy knowing we have DEPTH, vezna winner AND the runner up essentially. Ya the maple leafs, about them, 1967 😂.
My biggest concern is that historical teams like these Bruins, the 07 Patriots and the 2015 Dubs have a tendency of having disaster happen come playoff time.
Contrast them with the 2011 Bruins that no one saw winning it all.
I really like your voice Shamack always thinks his team is the best because he is the best but i hope anyone can take his bruins out of the stanley cup my team is the Avalanche
Playoffs are a whole new season. But let's face it, this team is awesome. Even the games they lost were great. It don't matter to me weather they win the cup or not, this team has given us fans a season of the best hockey I've ever seen. Besides the playoffs is just to short. Wish hockey was year round
Devils fan bt if we don’t take it I don’t mind Boston takin it always been a decent good team through out the years
Only 8 teams that won the Pres. Cup has reached Lord Stanley…
i would bet 1000$ hands down that the Bruins wont win the CUP . Why ….. because they have a very old team and it's about to catch up to them!!!! PLAYOFF aint the regular season . + the EAST is way too strong !!!!!!! sadly Boston won't win the CUP .
Bruins literally beating other top teams while resting 1st and 2nd liners and you saying they won't win rofl
I'd take any other team bc u got more teams
