For me it’s K’andre Miller, great defensive defenseman with a good shot, good on the Pk and still very young, would be a perfect fit with Power or Dahlin on paper. Obviously the Rangers want to sign him to a long term deal but they have no cap space, if we offer sheet him for around 6.5-7m aav I think we have a legit chance of getting him (fyi the compensation is a 1st,2nd and 3rd).

How about this option. Sabres require Rasmus Ristolainen from the Flyers. The flyers look to be headed for a rebuild. Ristolsinen is 28, tough, a solid 2 way player, and would fit into the #4 spot nicely. He has 4yrs at $5.1 left on his contract. He’s a little bit older than the young core.
I’d love to get this guy—massive upgrade for second pairing. But I wouldn’t offer sheet.
Zero chance the Rangers don’t match a $7m contract for Miller. In fact, it’s probably even less of a chance that Miller accepts a $7m contract given how much he is adored league-wide.
Tom Wilson is the only answer
