    Two things are certain when Boston plays Toronto: 1. Boston wins and 2. Leaf fans blame the refs.

    and when Matthews leaves for Arizona by then the rest of the division have caught up to the Leafs and they start over again, oh well 57 years is nothing look at the Cubs and Red Sox they won after 90 some years so the Leafs have plenty of time for their fans to die off never seeing them win the Cup

    Points to consider:

    1) Boston only beat Leafs in overtime at home. That's not exactly dominating.

    2) Leafs got back O'Reilly and are on the upswing

    3) Leafs know who they are facing in the playoffs

    4) Boston has no clue who they are facing in the playoffs and while this might not matter there is a play adjustment that needs to happen for each team before the series starts – they can't start that yet.

    5) Toronto will be facing a team that has just lost 2 in a row and is letting in on average 5 goals in March (Tampa)

    6) Boston's three choices for the playoffs all are on a winning streak and a series might last longer than a Leaf's series with Tampa meaning that a potential round two with Boston and Toronto would have the Leafs more rested even if they don't have HIA.
