Will he get treated unfairly? Yes, because that’s human nature. The Refs will treat you, essentially how you treat them. Or at least how they perceive you treat them by trying to pull fast ones on them time and time again.
Is it wrong, do the refs need to remain impartial? Also Yes. But again, human nature dictates actions, and it is what it is.
When all is said and done, there are more benefits of having a guy like Bunting than not. His style should not be changed.
That said, in the playoffs, when penalties and misconducts carry greater weight and impact, he will need to find a way to not hurt the team.
