  1. They’ve shutdown Hronek. In a meaningless season it’s very strange how management/coaches can see the value in doing that right now but can’t in the value of a high draft pick.

  2. i think Drance should become the 3rd in-studio host… i find him entertaining and right most of the time.

  3. Yes Donny did colour commentary on NHL 2002 and people might remember that he also did the play-by-play on NHL Rock the Rink on PlayStation One. But what most people don't know is that EA had to remove something like 150 speech samples late in development for NHL/ESRB reasons and I can say that the un-censored version was absolutely hilarious. Sadly, I doubt any copies exist anymore.

  4. Play the kids, sort out who the supporting cast will be, don’t play the wheels off their best players in games that mean nothing. Let’s see who will be backup, who will be bottom 6, who will be defence men 5-6

  5. Thomas just blabbers no real knowledge of hockey. Stop yelling you are not good

  6. I still keep NHL 2002 for two reasons. 1.) Don Taylor's insane calls and 2.) the music was good.

  7. Why oh why not give all guys who will be here next year time off and let everyone else play for evaluation . Give silovs and other guy a chance to show you what they got .,they need to be sure who to trade , what the need is .

  8. Can't blame Joshua not sticking up for Hogs during the preseason when he was competing for a spot against Hogs. If it was Petterson and Hughes, then it is a different story! Drance should know better.

  9. I have totally forgotten that Donnie was the voice of NHL 2002. For that reason alone, I may just go out and see if someone is selling an old copy of the game…

Agree with Drance – give the younger guys some stretched responsibilities and see what they can do. To better understand what these players' ceiling may be is way more important than winning meaningless games that would make the the team draft later in one of the deepest drafts ever.
