@New York Rangers

This is not a great look for Ovechkin..

In todays Washington Capitals vs New York Rangers game, what has been a tough season for the Capitals all seemed to boil over for Alexander Ovechkin. After giving up 5 or more goals for the 6th of their last 10 games, Ovechkin didn’t get a call and proceeded to hunt down Barclay Goodrow with a frenzy of cross checks, hooks and slashes. The ref let it go on for way too long before finally calling a penalty which led to a scrum and eventually, saw Ovechkin being ejected from the game to which he gave a sarcastic round of applause to the officials. All in all, things definitely boiled over but it wasn’t exactly a good look for Ovi. I cover it in todays NHL hockey video

  1. You know what else is not a great look for that guy? :DDDDD

Such a shame that the NHL still is trying to advertise the game and league with him at the center.

  2. Ovi is just angry because his BBF is having a hard time with his "special operations".. Hey Ovi, maybe he needs some help.

  3. Don't understand why Ovi is getting flack. Got hit directly in front of the official in the face and no call. So obviously, they aren't calling penalties. He's taking advantage of a situation the official created

  4. So my grandfather went to NHL referee school, never reffed a pro game but got the same education. The fighting and the faceoff stuff this year is garbage. These refs want to feel powerful over these stud athletes who make more in a game than a ref does all year

  5. I was gonna say I was watching this game and I didn’t see this. I hate commercials with a passion

  6. It must be a sucky feeling knowing your home but the crowd is chanting the opponents goalie name. IGOR IGOR IGOR

  7. Ovechkin is an overrated bum… He did that same thing years ago, we were playing on world championship…. He should play in Russia with his dear friend Vladimir Vladimirovic Putler.. Disgrace of Hockey…

  8. Ovechkin’s been a sore loser his entire career just everybody seems to give him the benefit of the doubt anytime he does anything, take spearing Trent Frederic right in the groin and not even getting a penalty if my memory serves me right. Like that ain’t right no other player gets away with it so often like ovi still love him tho just noticed that

  9. NHL and it's officials are a clown fiesta. They jump in to stop fights because they don't want fights to happen and yet they'll allow so many blatant infractions to go uncalled which causes things to turn into a line brawl. The inconsistency here is baffling.

  10. Honestly, I'm happy to see this. Ovechkin never cared about the game, it's why he only has one cup. Unfortunately it's too late in his career, but I love seeing him play with some actual emotion.

  11. Ovi's team sucks. 2nd on the team had like 19 goals and third has 14? He carried this team for half the year and no one showed up to help in the 2nd half. He seems to be the only passionate about winning.

  12. Caps have had about 4 or 5 guys out majority of the season from injuries not to mention our goal tending has been shit last 2 years….

  13. I swear hes been doing this shit for years yall just dont like to point it out hes a dirty angry guy but he can really play so just look past i guess hes as dirty as they come but if you hit hard enoug hthey dont care how dirty it is

  14. There's STILL a stick measure rule. They just don't enforce it anymore. Ovi's stick should be mesured every shift. Blade curve is illegal
Thats straight from the lips of a former teamate.

  15. At some point a linesmen is going to get knocked by a rogue punch trying to stop a fight from starting.

  16. Elbow to the face in front of the ref and no call. So yeah, Ovi's reaction is not surprising. But I'm sure frustrations with this year's overall standings didn't help any.

  17. like him or not, he clearly got hit in the face with no penalty at the end of the game when they were clearly going to win. At 0:31, it looks like the butt end off the stick. Anyone who plays hockey knows that's the most dangerous part of the stick to get in the face. It's really the refs fault for letting this get out of hand.
If the Rangers or Bruins were in the West that would = instant cup. Both teams are just stacked…

  18. Ovechkin took an elbow to the face. He did the right thing as he wasn't looking for revenge as much as a fight, seeing as Goodrow instigated it with a dirty hit. Ovechkin did nothing wrong here.

  19. Original 6 fan bases are different. You can hear "Let's go Bruins" at almost every away game this year

  20. Ovi is human some people think he suppose to act the way they want him too. This REALITY NOT ALICE IN WONDERLAND! He gets frustrated TOO The Crew saids miss us with this BS "not a good for Qvi"

  21. If you gonna hit someone like ovi you better be able to back it up and that player did not so good on ovi.

  22. The game against Carolina a few years ago when Ovi knocked out Svetchnikov, the whole thing started when young Svetch had gotten pissed with Ovi slashing the crap out of him in a similar manner (with no call). It’d be nice to see Svetch tangle with the bear again now that he has some weight on him.

  23. Goodrow had his elbow up at Ovi's head there when he took him down, guess he didn't like that much.

  24. 0:32 Absolute dive lmao.
Tbh this is who He's been… he's always been on the 'emotional' side of things. Look at last year… He blames everyone around him and blames the goaltending yet he coasts around out there not doing a damn thing or just stands at the face off dot literally not moving until he gets the puck to do a one timer. He needs to start looking at himself as well. Yeah he's 2nd in goals all time and probably will break the real Great Ones record, but tbh he hasn't been impressive for a while.

Let the haters hating flow in.
