The Montreal Canadiens have signed goaltender Jakub Dobes to a two-year entry level deal as well as to an AHL contract to play for the Laval Rocket for this season, and we have some thoughts on his potential. Then we move on to our weekly 3 Up, 3 Down, in which we are not happy with the sheer number of shots the Canadiens have allowed this week. However, we have plenty of praise for Samuel Montembeault, Rafael Harvey-Pinard, Emil Heineman, Pierrick Dubé, and Sean Farrell.

Always love these!
I can see Primeau and Dobes fight well together for a starter spot in the nhl down the line for the habs which would elevate both their game imo. Primeau was often not agressive enough in net during the last two years when called up. We can expect the total opposite thing with Dobes. He is a little bit to much aggressive. So, they can learn from each other and find balance in their games. Both of the goalies needs to get better at positioning and decision making. Primeau has a lot more experience but knows competition behind him is there. Primeau is still young and I’m also not giving up on him. Habs have Monty to make sure the transition is on the good path for both young goalies
