Don’t be sad, he’ll be back soon when Raanta or Andersen inevitably get hurt (again).

Audible gasps 😮
– Caniacs who didn’t know PK was required to go back to Chicago when Raanta was healthy.

Good news is that this means Raanta is healthy again. And Koochie is better off getting the starter’s role in Chicago than being third string up here.

People on Twitter act like the world is coming to an end. He’s not better than Freddie or Antti yet. PK also needs to still work on closing the 5 hole which has been a problem for him all year.

Glad we got another Kooch stint in before playoffs – hope he can work on that 5 hole and sealing the posts more in Chicago. He plays awesome, but those two spots have been consistently tough for him.

I miss yelling Koochie with thousands of people 😞

Let him get some additional starts down the stretch in CHI, assuming that CHI misses the playoffs he should be able to be up here for the playoffs and we’ll see who’s going and most ready amongst our goalies. Glad Raanta seems to be getting healthy so we at least have options

Just wanna put this out there in case anyone wants to say this is because he’s not ready (instead of Raanta getting healthy again):
Kochetkov is 2-3 since being called up, but is 2-1 with a 2.67 GAA when the Canes are not shutout (for reference Vasilevski is currently at 2.64 GAA).
