This stretch of winning has been wild. We’ve dressed Brisebois, Wolanin, Kravstov, Dries as our 3C for too long, McDonough, Juulsen, Rathbone, Podkolzin, way overplayed Burroughs, Studnicka, and PDG, all while missing Mikheyev, Horvat, OEL, Pearson, and we’re still winning games. It’s madness. Hope the hockey gods can appreciate this come draft lottery
I’m just treating these previous 18 games as our imaginary playoffs. 4-3, 4-0, 4-2, and now we’re up 1-0.

To be fair Canucks this year should not be picking above 8 or 9 other teams that are legitimately worse than Canucks, but hope was since season is lost we’d underachieve and/or get lucky to have a higher draft pick. Kinda like when Avs got Makar or Devils got Hughes or NYR got Lafreniere. Too bad cuz seems like we’d need that to have a chance at being a proper contender like the 2010s Hawks kings pens or recent bolts avs or Bruins. Now we’d have to hit a lot on colleague pick ups, lower picks, reclaimantion projects etc. Doable but cant be very likely

I know we like to harp on having OEL signed until 2027 (and rightfully so) but shoutout to the Blues on having Binnington, Parayko, Faulk and Krug (all at 6mill+ each) signed until 2027

Good for him. He’s earned the chance to play up the roster and if there’s ever a time to experiment it’s now.
