IMO, he's absolutely the backup next season – even if not at the start, he absolutely wins it by playoff time. But this season… yeah. A .938 save percentage at the NHL is nothing to sneeze at… but context is relevant, and four games played against generally weaker teams certainly counts as said context 🤣
I think long term, the plan is to dump Murray, keep Samsonov who can hold down the fort while Woll fully adapts to the NHL and maybe even becomes a long-term solution in the years to come. Between his technique, his steadiness and size in the net, and his ability to read plays, I certainly think he can and may well be a starter for them. But we're not there yet.
I'm REALLY not confident with our goalie situation. But we'll see none the less. We have no choice.

Boys it,s a team effort, once u figure that out, I,ll start watching again. Get four lines working, a good defense , and put away the ego,s. The Leafs lose a game and they’re the worst team to ever play hockey. Woll plays four games and the whole city is discussing wether or not he’s the answer in the playoffs. The Toronto market is out of their minds.
I don't get it! Am I missing something here? Woll has played 4 games for the leafs. Please correct me if I'm wrong. He's let in 8 goals in those for game. Won 3 lost one. He's pretty darn impressive in what I've seen of him. Plays his angle exceptionally and shows a lot of poise. I'm very impressed with him. They should play him in a few more games before the playoffs and through him the reigns in the playoffs if he preforms well.
