David Pastrnak scored his 50th and 51st goals of the season and Charlie McAvoy dished assists on each as the Boston Bruins defeated the Carolina Hurricanes 4-3 in a shootout to win the battle between the East’s top teams.

    That was an impressive win by the Bruins today. Missing some pretty important players, to put it lightly, and on the 2nd night of a back to back after a physical game against the lightning. This team has me so excited for the playoffs.

    This was a good game and obviously a tight one all the way through, but GOD DAMN are these commentators Canes nutswingers. Some of their reactions to only okay plays were like they just witnessed the second coming of jesus himself

    The problem with resting guys is that the resting players are not burning of the calories . Only takes a few extra pounds to slow a player down . I don't like the idea . They have been playing since they were eight years old , they don't need the rest

    Great to see the return of the Hartford Whalers uniforms in celebrating the teams past . Nice touch to include the distinctive goal horn from the Civic Center when the Whalers scored. Great memories. BTW Andersen did some nice saves but on some goals that he allowed look very ordinary.

    They didn't show the referee absolutely sucking giving a bad call to the hurricanes that wasn't even there Way to go why don't you suspend those referees are fine them for being such idiots
