OEL buyout makes more sense after next year
The nhl would negate the early bonus payout. They would probably tell the team to buyout the player instead.
Center Ashdeep Bains should get a call up to see what he can do. This kid is a jack of all trades. Give him a try, as he is looking good at the AHL level.
Black does have a legit point in the myers bonus.

The prospect cupboard is still super thin, they need more prospects in addition to several spots in the nhl. I doubt they move OEL but wonder what is up with Myers.

Not sure why signing LHD Wolanin and Brisbois would affect opportunities for a RHD like Livingstone but he would be battling Myers (if he's not traded), Burroughs, Juulsen (if re-signed), Jett Woo, and Johansson for the bottom pairing spot in Van and top minutes in Abby on the right side. I'd assume that Bear would be paired with Hughes if he's re-signed.
Getting kinda crowded but if he can win a spot then one of them could get traded to make room.

When will someone figure out that all 16 teams that miss the playoffs should have an evenly weighted lottery for the top 3 picks. That is the most fair and would garner the most interest. Can only win once every 3 years or some formulation. There are too many teams not trying to be, the best they can be, and are somewhat rewarded for that. The worst that the last place team could pick would be fourth.
