The fucked up thing is that there were people there just to riot. Win or lose. I was working at the ferry terminal and watched a bunch of people getting off the ferry screaming riot 2 hours before puck drop. 2011 riot was stupid. Just a bunch of people wanting to start shit. I volunteered the next day to clean up the city in 2011. I find it stupid too that nobody really hid their faces thinking nothing will happen to them. The 94 riots was different. It was all passion. I was driving downtown when they won game 6. Downtown was a great place to be. Being down 3 games to 1 and coming back to tie the series was amazing but losing game 7 was heartbreaking. 24 years of failure put us over the top.
