I've never liked Calgary, but I felt for them after their tumultuous summer last year. They may be higher up than the Canucks, but I'd rather have this team and this management than trade places with the Flames.
If he wants to complain he needs to atleast score more than 0 points in games
The whole flames team last year hit career highs including Kadri and Hubrduh, what could go wrong?
Sutter is Sutter. As a kings fan who watch him bring Us two cups, and has literally watched every presser that Sutter has done. He has a way of getting under players skin. He also is stubborn and tough. The kings won two cups with the guy but even two cups weren’t enough and they eventually soured on Him. He’s so overbearing at times, the team leaders literally locked him out of the locker room with a trash can post game once lol… Sutter does better with Young players that he can mold and be an alpha over. Allot of vets don’t seem to play well for Him.
i dumped on sutter a month ago and i got all kinds of grief because of it. sutter is lost in the 90's along with mike babcock. at least mike figured it out and is back to planting wheat.
Flames suck
Same pattern in LA. They tolerated his throwback coaching style as long as the team was winning but once adversity strikes, he's the problem.
They were doing pretty good a while back. The team just plain quit.
Nazen Kadri should put in more effort in himself and start playing as a team player. Skating off side when he doesn't have the puck , intentionally.
That mackinnon to Sakic goal was beautiful lol
Tyler Toffoli puts in more effort than Kadri and Hubby do.
The GM is useless. The trade was horrendous, the contracts disasterous and hiring Sutter, dumb.
Your a goof !
Been saying it since last year's playoffs. Sutter is the problem. His choices for who he puts on the ice in key situations is baffling. Michael bakclund may not lose you games but certainly can't win you games yet he leads the team in ice time all year. Down a goal with a pp less than two minutes left, and he puts out bakclund mangiapane and Coleman. It is exactly why tkachuk and gaudreau left
They're just not finishing. They pretty well outshoot every team they face, and markstrom hasn't been the same since being outplayed my oettinger in the playoffs last year
They’re a great team on paper I think we replaced what we lost pretty well but it’s their first year together they need more chemistry higher hopes next year
Come back to CO, Naz!
For some reason, Adam Ruzicka was playing well and scoring and now he is in Sutter's doghouse. This Sutter is a stubborn old goat. He is sitting guys who he does not like the way the play. Then trade the guy off the team. Shows you Sutter could have use a goal scorer better and don't. Flames will not make the playoffs is Sutter remains stubborn. Great to see.
Only took Darryl 60+ games to realise Huberdeau was playing on the wrong wing. And also to scratch Lucic.
Sutter has a demanding style that usually can get results for a season if he has the buy in from the team. Calgary has a recent history of buying in for a season and then the message gets lost, the last four coaches suffered the same fate. This team doesn't have the buy in that last year did, Johnny and Matthew were actually leaders in that and why every did so well. That pair took a lot of heat off other guys since they were so dominant, now that top line doesn't free up others. Pair all that with Sutter's defense first style of coaching that is not getting the defense or goal tending to sustain and it is a perfect storm of poor performances.
I wished the Avs and Kadri had found a way to make it work out. I think Kadri realized a huge difference in playing for Bednar vs Sutter. Bednar strikes me as 1000% better at player communication with players but I don't know jack
All coaches and coaching styles have an expirey date. I remember when the Caps had enough of Beudreau and turned on him.
Flamers suck
I think what we're seeing is what happens every time Darryl overstays his welcome on a team. I'm surprised more people aren't drawing a throughline to Gaudreau and Tkachuk wanting out because of Darryl, maybe there's no smoke there though.
Sutter coaches a team that is groomed for playoff hockey but it's not always the best for regular season play where the money guys want the point stats that makes them the big bucks.
THE SUTTER BROTHERS NEED TO GO AWAY… A BUNCH OF ANNOYING KNOW IT ALLS… BUZZ OFF
SUTTER IS BULLY AND KNOW IT ALL.
imy adhd making it hard to choose what i want to pay attention too. watch you play chel or listen to what you have to say😂
They should hire Bruce there IT is, Calgary Canucks from top to bottom
Sutter isn't the problem. The forwards can't score and way too many turnovers and average goaltending for most of the season
Flames game tonight, after 2 periods flames have 12 shots. Garbage play, markstrom getting hungout to dry, and it looks like LA is playing an ahl team
Pretty nice being an oilers fan rn lol. And yes that’s just because Calgary is suffering
The Flames need to get totally rebuilt and fire Darryl
Sutter isn't a players' coach. He's also a dinosaur and I don't think he knows how to coach young players. I'm almost certain he's part of the reason Gaudreau and Tkachuk left Calgary. He's the kind of coach who overstay his welcome.
