  1. Jordan is one of those players I think will excel in buffalo, he's a real good hockey player, he's kinda been stagnant a little, so many just missed a goal but sometimes a new city and team can jump start a career and he's one it might happen to.

  2. Hey you never know…In Buffalo's no defense, no hitting, all scoring scheme a badass like Greenway could come in and score 15-20 goals and scare the lights out of everyone who wants to keep pushing us around nightly lol. That's got some value

  3. I believed in Greenway longer than most and I hope he figures it out, but it was clear it wasn't going to happen in MN. All the physical gifts in the world, but a general lack of effort and some accountability issues to go along with a severe lack of offense is frustrating to watch. I truly believe that he can be a decent power forward with some offense and the ability to absolutely truck dudes if Granato can get him taken care of on the mental side.

  4. Greenway is an extremely frustrating player. I hope he does well in buffalo but cannot blame the wild for getting picks and moving off that contract for the next two years while they are in an extreme cap crunch. By adding sundqvist they replaced greenway and shedded the future salary and got a second round pick.

  5. Asplund had strong defensive numbers last year. But he’s undersized for a defensive forward, and went the way of Anders Bjork, where he just didn’t fit.

Fitzgerald was the same way on defense – too small for a defensive dman. But Stillman seems like a fringe NHLer. Fingers crossed for Ryan Johnson signing.

If getting pushed around worries you, idk if I would have chosen Bloom as the prospect to part with. But they have so many, and can’t fit them all.

They should have gotten rid of Bryson. I also think Olofsson is done.

  6. after the 7 – 1 loss i said to myself that the sabres need to add some size up front to compete against the bruins, leafs, tb & ottawa. i am a habs fan since 1970 but i am pulling for sabres to make the WC/PO

  7. The Wild had plenty of cap space to get Sundqvist without getting rid of Greenway. Losing Greenway's $3 million in cap space for 2 years after this and getting some decent picks for him him is pretty solid.

  8. Greenway is the guy who looks big an intimidating, until you say a mean word and he crumbles. Softest 6'6" hockey player ever.

  9. Granato really wanted him he knows how to develop players look what he did with TNT he was banging on the table for this guy

  10. After that 7-1 pasting by the Bruins, Buffalo's next six games include: Tampa, Edmonton, NYI, Dallas, NYR and TO. This is THE crucial stretch of the season that should determine whether the Sabres will stay in or drop out of the race.
