I actually think coaching is the most critical part of your team in today's game. You need goals from everywhere (all lines) with dmen of size and speed. Better to have a solid group of multiple guys who put up 20-30 goals each and like to play with each other with a coach to make it hum. That's better than relying on one guy who can't be on the ice every second of the game – even if it's the best player of all time. Also there are some teams on this league with some darn good dmen who can consistently shut down/contain McDavid – that is a HUGE problem for Edmonton in my view. Oilers need to make some changes cause the current plan isn't working. Probably need front office and/or scouting changes to identify and bring in the best young (cheap) talent.
If you made a video about players leaving every time a star player complained their team didn't perform well you'd have dozens of videos just like this one. If he don't win it all by the time he's 30 he may try to go to a winner like a few star players have done in the past.

This guy has an amazing GM behind him, a charismatic and effective coach, and a clutch 2nd in the league counterpart in Leon Draisatl…not to mention true friends in Nurse and RNH. The guy has an entire team building around him and they’re seeing a positive trend from elite management…on the best hockey club in the NHL…he would be crazy to leave without at least 1 cup. My prediction is he will attain 2 possibly 3 cups with Edmonton ❤️🔥 and yes I’m an Edmonton native and proud fan 😂
